05/31/05

Day – James Marion Day of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at his residence. Born March 8, 1929, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of William Paul and Elsie (Craig) Day. He married Carolyn McGinnis on February 3, 1948, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, James P. Day and his wife, Glenda, of Orange County, IN, and Joseph A. Day and his wife, Robin, of Bedford, IN; two daughters, Jan A. Lewis of Ohio and Joyce L. Taylor and her husband, Kyle, of Bedford, IN; 13 grandchildren: Andy Day, Jeff Day, Jon Day, Josh Anderson, Jennifer Anderson, Sarah Anderson, Elizabeth Day, James E. Day, Amber S. Day, Matt Lewis, Reed Taylor, Hannah Taylor and Isaac Taylor; son-in-law, Hillard Lewis; and two sisters, Jewell Decker of Bedford, IN, and Paula Player of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Timothy Lewis.

He was self-employed and was the founder of JimDay Furniture and the AAA Convenience Store, both in Bedford. He was a member of the John Birch Society.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford. Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. until the service time on Saturday at the mortuary.

Clampitt – Elsie M. Clampitt of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Monday, May 30, 2005, at her residence. Born August 19, 1912, in Monroe County, IN, she was the daughter of Raymond and Leafy (Quillen) Hawkins.

Surviving are one daughter, Beverly Sutton of Indianapolis; four grandchildren: Trena Jane Dicus, Joy Ash, Debbie Sutton and Jimmy Sutton, all of Indianapolis; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Ansel Hawkins of Bedford, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Sowders; four brothers: Lloyd, Kelsey, Bill and Morris Eugene Hawkins; and one great grandson.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Faith.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 4th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Steve Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Ebal Cemetery in Monroe County. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the service time Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Godsey – Donald Wayne Godsey of Bloomington, IN, died Monday, May 30, 2005, in Indianapolis. Born April 18, 1975, in Bloomington, IN, he was the son of Paul W. and Christina Godsey.

Surviving are his mother, Christina Lawrence of Bloomington, IN; his father and stepmother, Paul W. and LuAnn Godsey of Springville, IN; two sisters, Diana Bex and Barbara Godsey, both of Bloomington, IN; one brother, Craig Godsey of Springville, IN; his grandmother, Edith Godsey of Springville, IN; two nephews, Matthew Feaster and Travis Abrell; and three nieces, Tori Bex, Andrea Godsey and Ashley Powell. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hobert T. Godsey and Frank and Rosalie Sortwell.

Funeral services will be conduced at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 3rd, at the Day & Carter Mortuary of Bedford with Brother Alan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Byers-Rainbolt Cemetery at Popcorn. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, at the mortuary.

Tilford – Amanda Ellen Tilford of Bloomfield, IN, died Monday, May 30, 2005, at the Westview Manor in Bedford. Born February 21, 1916, in Owensburg, IN, she was the daughter of Pete and Etta Jane Jackson. She married Arlie Price in 1932 and he died 1948. She married Willard Tilford in 1965 and he died in 2000.

Surviving are one son, James E. Price and his wife, Eleanor, of Bedford, IN; one daughter, Etta Rose Sanders of Bedford, IN; one step-son, John Tilford and his wife, Polly, of Bloomington, IN; six grandchildren: Kenny Sanders, Jim Sanders, Bill Sanders, Lynette Greene, Aaron Tilford and Sarah Tilford; eight great-grandchildren: Brent Taylor, Jason Love, Scott Sanders, Kelly Sanders, Elana Sanders, Jeremy Sanders, Lynessa Greene and Lynnae Greene; three great-great-grandchildren: Lucas Sanders, Clayton and Braxton Taylor; one brother, Vince Jackson of Owensburg, IN; three sisters: Inis Inman of Scotland, IN, Avis Roberts of Owensburg, IN, and Minnie Fox of Clarksville, IN. She was preceded in death by both husbands; six brothers: Roy, Earl, Ale, Carl, Wilbert and Max Jackson; three sisters: Nancy Childers, Martha Temple and Mary Record; three grandchildren: Sherry, Scott and Tim Sanders; and one son-in-law, Kenneth G. Sanders.

She retired from RCA in Bloomington and was a member of the Owensburg Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, June 3rd, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Merla Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Owensburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, and from 10:00 am until the service time Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Day – Cecil Alfred Day of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at White River Lodge in Bedford. Born on June 14, 1921, in Cub Run, Hart County, KY, he was the son of Lum Day and Ethel (Geralds) Day.

Surviving are one sister-in-law: Jesse Day of Bedford, IN; caregivers: Sue and Kenny Ball, Jack and Mable Day, Kenny and Margaret Day, Tom and Teresa Walls all of Bedford and his long time friend, Dr. Raymond Duncan. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. As one of eight children, he was preceded in death by all of his family: parents, three brothers: Lloyd, Marvin and John Day and four sisters: Elizabeth Finn, Valeria Mason, Emma Love and Corinne Ridpath.

He came to Bedford as a small child and graduated from Bedford High School in 1942. He was part owner of Day Music Store back in the 60’s and 70’s and was of protestant faith.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 2nd, at Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Mark McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Day & Carter on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Kern – Carl G. Kern of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford. Born on June 7, 1913, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of John W. Kern and Lora (Hackler) Kern. He married Lela C. Babb on June 1, 1935 and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are three children: Judy Boling and her husband, Bob, of Sanibel Island, FL; Jerry Kern and his wife, Cindy, of Clearwater, FL; and Linda Smith and her husband, Bud, of Bedford, IN; eight grand children: Sherry Gillum and her husband, Bob, of Bargersville, IN, Lisa Long and her husband, Brad, of Whiteland, IN, Brian Kern and his wife, Kathy, of Wesminster, CA, Lara Seymour and her husband, Bill, of Sho Lo, AZ, Ross Kern of Livonia, MI, Matt Kern of Alpharetta, GA, Cheryl Baker and her husband, Ray, of Bedford, IN, and Cathy Sego and her husband, Tony, of Bedford, IN; thirteen great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Kern of Indianapolis; three sisters: Barbara Hall of Bedford, IN, Ina Sutherlin of Olney, IL, and Clara Armstrong of Dublin, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, and two sisters: Edith Hay and Mary Burch; and one grandson in infancy.

He retired from General Motors.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 1st, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Bud Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Day & Carter Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions be made to the Southland Church of Christ Youth Group.

Williams – Opal M. Williams of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at White River Lodge. She was born on October 13, 1932.

Surviving are one daughter, Marlina Lundy of Bedford, IN; one son, Fred Williams of Tennessee; and one grandchild.

She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2nd, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home of Bedford. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery in Bedford. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Kirkman – Jack Edward Kirkman of West Lafayette, IN, died at Saturday, May 28, 2005, at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette, IN. Born October 15, 1921, in Avoca, IN, he was the son of Cornelius and Tressie (Swango) Kirkman. He married Alice McDowell on February 7, 1942, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters: Lynda Corya of Lafayette, IN, Donna Overmon of Florida and Jacque Brath of LaPort, IN; one son, Stephen Kirkman of Lafayette, IN; two sisters, Mary McDowell of Springville, IN, and Monagale Turner of Oolitic, IN; and one brother, James Kirkman of Mitchell, IN.

He was retired from Western Materials in Lafayette, IN and a member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 2nd, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jim Bougher officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Christian Cemetery with graveside military rites accorded by members of American Legion Gillen Post #33. Scott – Jack V. Scott of Mitchell, IN, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Huntingburg, IN. Born January 1, 1933, in Jackson County, IN, he was the son of Clifford and Ruth (Worthington) Scott.

Survivng are two sisters, Evelyn Hoggatt of Mitchell, IN, and Ozella Mathis of Bedford, IN; and two brothers, Thomas Scott of Gladstone, MI, and Bill Scott of Mitchell, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Juanita Lovechuck and Bessie Risley; and one brother, Winford Scott.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a 1951 graduate of Mitchell High School.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1st, at Mitchell Cemetery with Brother Max Timbrook officiating. Graveside military rites will be accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Taylor – Glen D. Taylor of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on April 18, 1935, in Eureka, IN, he was the son of Ephriam F. Taylor and Eva May (Morrow) Taylor. He married Betty M. Payton on January 23, 1954, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Glennda Stotts and Linda Holt, both of Bedford, IN; one son: Larry Taylor of Mitchell, IN; four grandchildren: Stormi Taylor, Shandi Weiss, Joni Tow, and Orvelle Taylor; five great-grandchildren: Tyler Fraizer, Austin Fraizer, Kendra Taylor, Daivd Weiss, and Jordan Taylor; four brothers: Gerald “Jake” Taylor of Mitchell, IN, Emery Taylor, Herman Taylor, and Guy D. Taylor, all of Bedford, IN; four sisters: Wanda Cunnington, Ocie Brown, Adeline Fortner, Christeen Strunk, all of Bedford, IN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Betty Jean Taylor; two brothers, Norman Taylor and James Taylor; and two sisters, Angie May Taylor and Josephine Hughes.

He retired in 1993 from the Bedford Filtration Plant. He had also worked as a supervisor for Swifty, Manager for the Mitchell Kocolene, and was a police officer in Mitchell from 1966-1967. He attended the Peerless Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 1st, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Alan Phillips officiating. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday and on Wednesday from noon until the service hour at the mortuary.

Cheesman – Madeline Inman Cheesman of Charlestown, IN, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Friday, May 27, 2005 at her residence. Born February 9, 1928, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of James and Ida Mae (Crider) Johnson. She first married John E. Inman on April 23, 1945, and he died on May 6, 1973. Se married William Cheesman on April 25, 1994, in Lawrence County, IN, and he survives.

Surviving with her husband are two sons, Kenneth Inman of Jacksonville, FL, and Phillip Inman of Bedford, IN; two daughters, Barbara Alexander and her husband, James, of Bedford, IN, and Elizabeth Blackburn and her husband, Rick, of Bloomington, IN; one stepdaughter, Janet Barrett and her husband, James, of Charlestown, IN; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Pless Johnson of Bedford, IN; and two sisters, Lucille Johnson of Missouri and Loretta Marvelous of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Inman; and one daughter, Karen Rae Finn, who died on September 4, 2000, in Detroit, MI.

She was a homemaker and had worked on the assembly line at RCA in Bloomington for 14 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Bedford.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 30th, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Judah Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at the funeral home.

Lowery – Goldie Lowery of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 19, 1916. She married Merle Lowery, and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Ralph Lowery and his wife, Betty, of Jeffersonville, IN; three daughters: Betty Louden and her husband, Doyle, of Palsbo, WA, Doris Patton and her husband, Paul, of Bedford, IN, and Mary Beth Lowery of Bloomington, IN; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Bob Lowery; one daughter, Sue Hensley Edington; and two grandsons, Ralph E. Lowery Jr. and Bobby Hensley.

Blackerby – Betty A. Blackerby of Mitchell, IN, died Monday, May 23, 2005, at Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born November 10, 1926, in Mitchell, IN, she was the daughter of Walter William and Lula Ellen (Turney) Shoults. She married Ray "T-Bone" Blackerby December 24, 1946, and he survives.

Surviving with her husband are one son, Lannie Ray Blackerby and his wife, Sue, of Mitchell, IN; two daughters: Vicki Lynn Rainey and her husband, Brian, of Bedford, IN, and Becky Jean Roberts and her husband, Mike,of Salem, IN; one brother, Johnny Shoults of Marion, IN; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Norman Shoults and Eugene "Smokey" Shoults; and one sister, Roberta Green.

She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Mitchell Wesleyan Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 26th, at Chastain Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Nikirk officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Reckelhoff – Shirley Ann Reckelhoff of Bedford, IN, died Monday, May 23, 2005, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after a brave fight with injuries sustained in an auto accident on Saturday, April 2. Born July 30, 1935, in Washington, IN, she was the daughter of Louise and Ralph Riester. She married Robert "Bip" Reckelhoff on August 18, 1954, and he survives.

Surviving with her husband are one son, Steve Reckelhoff and his wife, Kathy; one daughter, Pam Haverly; her daughter and husband, Karen and Bill Petrie; her son, Jamie Reckelhoff; her grandchildren: Aaron and Madison Haverly, Bailey and McKenzie Petrie, Sally Troutman, Melanie Smith and R.J. Mouras; her great-grandchild, Riley Hawkins; her sisters and their husbands: Martha and Lee Ray Olinger, Mertzie and Jerry McRae and Kay and Dave Elliott; her brother and his wife, Gary and Mary Lou Riester; her best friend, June Hewetson; countless nieces and nephews, friends, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jeanette Clark; one grandson, Zachary Petrie; one son, Kurt Reckelhoff; and her dear friend, Bruce Hewetson.

Shirley graduated from Huntingburg High School in 1953, where she was a member of the band and a cheerleader. She attended St. Vincent's Nursing program. She and her husband moved to Bedford in 1963. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority and the Otis Park Women's Golf league.

There will be a service celebrating her life at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28th, at Cresthaven Funeral Home. This will be a Quaker-style meeting, during which friends and relatives are invited to share memories, stories, grief, and joy. At 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28th, there will be a Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Ackerman officiating. The Mass is symbolic of giving her back to God. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5-9 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, and friends and family are welcome at the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America Association.

Williams – Carolyn Sue Tolbert of Williams, IN, died Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Born November 1, 1949, in Orange County, IN, she was the daughter of Cecil and Ruby (Holland) Robbins. She married Bobby Lee Tolbert on April 26, 1968, at Bonds Chapel in Orange County, IN, and he died March 16, 2003.

Surviving are her mother, Ruby Robbins of French Lick, IN; two daughters, Tina Dalton and her husband, Chad, of Bedford, IN, and Amy Smith and her husband, Kyle, of Mitchell, IN; four grandchildren: Levi and Brianna Dalton, both of Bedford, IN, and Hannah and Cameron Lee Smith, both of Mitchell, IN; three sisters: Helen Lagenour of Hillham, IN, Frances Evans of Paoli, IN, and Penny Doss of French Lick, IN; and three brothers: Harold Robbins, Lawrence Robbins and Tony Robbins, all of French Lick, IN. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Farell and Lester Robbins; her husband; and her father.

She was a graduate of Springs Valley High School and was currently employed at Visteon in Bedford. She was a member of the Mitchell Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25th, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Allen Burris officiating. Burial will be in Port Williams Cemetery in Lawrence County. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dalton – Peggy Lou Dalton of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Core Nursing Home in Bedford. Born on January 11, 1935, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Christopher and Nellie (Pace) Dalton. She never married.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including James Dalton of Bedford, IN, who was raised in the home with Peggy; several great-nieces and nephews, including Dorothy Blackwell of Mitchell, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James M. Dalton and Homer M. Dalton; and six sisters: Shirley Dalton, Lora Ellen Wilcoxen, Dorothy Tuell, Minnie Borden, Mary Jo Gilbert and Betty Acton.

She was disabled. She was of the Protestant faith and was an avid sports enthusiast and Bingo player. She received her GED.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 24th at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pruett – Noble A. Pruett of Mitchell, IN, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Mitchell Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on November 19, 1907, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of Enos and Rebecca (Smith) Pruett. His first marriage was to Ava Madlyn Jones, and she preceded him in death. His second marriage was to Nancy Tow, and she preceded him in death. His third marriage was to Barbara Grissom, and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are eight daughters: Shirley Miller of Indianapolis, Barbara Dean of Polk City, FL, Marilyn McClure and Vicky King, both of Mitchell, IN, Carolyn Knauss of Iuka, IL, Sharon Ball of Bloomington, IN, Annie Buechler and Paula Arnold, both of Bedford, IN; three sons: Steve Grissom of Mitchell, IN, and Mark and Dave Grissom, both of Bedford, IN; thirty-seven grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three wives; one son, Norman Eugene Pruett; one daughter, Rosemary Pruett; one sister, Sylvia Milligan; and two grandchildren, Barry Mahan and Deanna Ball.

He was a retired painter and decorator. He was a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25th, at the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Mark Bechtel officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the church.

Sallee – Marjorie L. Sallee of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at her residence. She was born August 21, 1930. She married Robert Sallee on December 21, 1946, and he survives.

Surviving with her husband are one daughter, Connie Faubion of Bedford, IN; one son: Troy Sallee of Bedford, IN; three grandchildren: Kelly George of Yorktown, VA, Tracy Williams of Bedford, IN, and Jay Faubion of Heltonville, IN and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carolyn Hawkins; and one niece: Cherie Coursey.

She worked seven years for General Motors and was a self-employed beautician.

Compton – Maggie Danielle Compton of Mitchell, IN, died Friday, May 20, 2005, following an automobile accident. Born December 27, 1987, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Mike and Lori (Johnson) Compton.

Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Lori and Larry Parker of Bedford, IN; her father and stepmother, Mike and Betsy Compton of Mitchell, IN; one sister, Hannah Compton of Bedford, IN; one half-sister, Summer Dawn Anderson of Huron, IN; two step-sisters, Megan Ann Taylor of Huron, IN, and Ashley Parker of Bedford, IN; one step-brother, Cody Parker of Bedford, IN; grandmother, Barbara Turner of Mitchell, IN; and step-grandparents, Bill and Dixie Lewis of Aurora, IL. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth Johnson, and James and Elsie Compton.

She had completed her junior year at Mitchell High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society, SADD, Speech and Drama Club, a former member of the high school softball team, and had also played summer league softball. She was a member of the First Christian Church and was active in the church youth group.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 24th, at the First Christian Church with Bro. Josh Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Roach – Wayne M. Roach of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born July 22, 1916, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of William Henry and Sara Effie (Eggers) Roach. He married Betty L. Watterson on August 3, 1946, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are three sons: Larry W. Roach and his wife, Lottie, of Panama City, FL, and Tracey D. Roach and Scotty J. Roach and his wife, Rosanna, all of Bedford, IN; three daughters: Janet Harkness and Vicky Flinn and her husband, Richard, all of Bedford, IN, and Julie Peterson and her husband, Daryl, of Iowa; nine brothers and sisters: Wilma Kirkland of Inverness, FL, Glen Roach and Frances Halpon, both of Indianapolis, Betty Harris of Bedford, IN, Richard Roach of Inverness, FL, James Roach of Orleans, IN, Mary Louise Gore of Avon, IN, Joyce George of Bedford, IN, and Charles Roach; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Carl David Roach; two sisters, Thelma Rainey and Edna Katherine Roach (in infancy); and two brothers, Harry Roach and Norman Roach.

He retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center-Crane in 1970 and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Southland Church of Christ in Bedford.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 23rd, at the Southland Church of Christ in Bedford, with Brother Bud Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Leatherwood Church Cemetery, with graveside military rites accorded by members of American Legion Gillen Post No. 33 of Bedford. Charles – William E. "Ed" Charles of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Bliss House in Bedford. Born April 2, 1918, in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Lowrey Earl and Clara Isabelle (Clements) Charles. He married Mary Frances McClung on April 13, 1946, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters: Linda Jean Endris and her husband, Carl, of Indianapolis, and Donna Lea Kast of Bedford, IN; four sons: John Robert Charles and his wife, Donna, of Greenwood, IN, William Dean Charles and his wife, Denisee Stamps, of Bloomington, IN, James Scott Charles and his wife, Christie, and Jeffrey David Charles and his wife, Karen, all of Bedford, IN; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Edward Charles; and one brother, Rex Harold Charles.

He was a 1936 graduate of Bedford High School and a retired veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, having served as a Lt. Colonel during World War II. He was awarded numerous medals and citations during his service. He worked at Thompson Dairy Co. of Bedford and was a superintendent at Kite Construction Co. in Indianapolis, retiring in January, 1988. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Bedford; American Legion Gillen Post No. 33 of Bedford; V.F.W. of Oolitic; Retired Officers' Association; 8th Air Force Historical Society; 95th Bomb Group. He was past president of Bedford Boys Club; past president of Bedford Little League Baseball; and served on the Bedford City Council and the Bedford Parks Board.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21st, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home of Bedford, with Pastor David Colgan officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens, with graveside military rites accorded by members of American Legion Gillen Post No. 33 of Bedford. Richardson – Virginia Louise Royce Richardson, of Bloomington, IN, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005. Born on October 19, 1919, in Wabash, IN, she was the daughter of Harry Lynn and Louise Abrams Royce. On August 2, 1941, she married John Allan Richardson, and he died in 1999.

Surviving are three daughters: Judith Wilkinson of Bloomington, IN, Sylvia Louise Richardson Ryland and her husband, James, of Fremont, CA; and Lynn Margaret Anderson of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren: James Royce Wilkinson of Indianapolis, Lindsay Kathryn Wilkinson of Boston, MA, Elizabeth Lynn Ryland Caskey and hr husband, Doug, of Boulder, CO, James Robert Ryland IV and his wife, Amanda, of Cambridge, MA, Mark David Anderson of Las Vegas, NV, and Krista Louise Anderson Riordan and her husband, Mike of Cincinnati, OH; one great-grandchild, Nicholas Michael Riordan of Cincinnati, OH.

During her 27-year tenure as an educator, she taught home economics and was a guidance counselor at the former Bedford High School and at Bedford North Lawrence High School until 1983. She was a 1937 graduate of Rockville High School, received a B.S. degree from Purdue University and an M.A. from Indiana University. At Purdue she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. In Bedford was also active in numerous women's organizations, including Tri-Kappa, and Panhellenic. She and her husband were active in Salt Creek Power Squadron

There will be no formal celebration of life at this time. Private arrangements are under the direction of Church & Community Funeral Home of Bloomington. The family has requested that friends celebrate Mrs. Richardson and her husband's lives by performing random acts of kindness. Memorial contributions may be made to the Purdue University Foundation.

Thomas – Karin J. (Listo) Thomas of Heltonville, IN, died Tuesday, May 18, 2005, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 17, 1935.

Surviving are two sons, Esslee Thomas of College Grove, TN, and Loyal Dale Short of Heltonville, IN; one daughter, Agnes Short of New Albany; IN, and one grandson.

She was a homemaker.

Hubbard – Coy Hazel Hubbard, of Springville, IN, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born April 10, 1917, in Oolitic, IN, she was the daughter of George and Hester (Hicks) Hall. She married Cledis Dale Hubbard on August 3, 1935, and he died March 26, 2005.

Surviving are one daughter, Janet King and her husband, Larry, of Springville, IN; two sons, Ronald Hubbard and his wife, Ruby, of Bloomington, IN, and Michael Hubbard and his wife, Deniese, of Norman, IN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; five sisters: Goldie Keeler, Violet Ramsey, Daisy Ramsey, Lillian Chambers and Fern Thomas; and four brothers: William, Cecil, Russell and Ralph Hall. Coy was the last of 10 children.

She was a homemaker and attended the Oolitic Methodist Church and Springville Methodist Church.

Ray – Linvel Ray of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Core Nursing and Rehab Center in Bedford. Born November 27, 1919, in Dugger, IN, he was he son of Samuel J. and Edna (Bartlett) Ray. He married Irene Fry on June 21, 1941, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Cheryl Moffett of Connersville, IN; one grandson, Kyle Moffett of Connersville, IN; one sister, Laverne White of Indianapolis; and one sister-in-law, Ilene Houpt of Bedford, IN. He was preceded in death by one sister, Burnettia Denny, and one brother, Stanford Ray.

He was retired from the U.S. Army and North Lawrence Community Schools. He was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church, a former member of the First Baptist Church of Connersville, and a 50-year member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge No. 14, F. & A.M.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 20th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary of Bedford with Pastor Bob Kirkman officiating. Bradford – Edith F. Bradford of Bedford, IN, died Monday, May 16, 2005. Born November 19, 1945, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Robert and Pearl (Horner) Collier. She first married Rusaw Goens in 1939, and he died in 1945. She later married Samuel Bradford in 1959, and he died in 1989.

Surviving are one son, Pastor Danny Goens and his wife, Deana, of Bedford, IN; two daughters, Donna Kern and her husband, Paul, and Debra Wagner and her husband, Danny, all of Bedford, IN; 15 grandchildren: Tammy Thomas, Julie Quinn, Jay Kern, Angie Morrow, Darry Goens, Devin Goens, Dee Dee Inman, Samantha Wagner, Hannah Wagner, Haley Wagner, Christie Spinks, David Bradford, Phil Bradford, Monica Bradford and Stacy Burton; several great and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Thelma Bennett of Medora, IN, and Ruth Johnson of Tunnelton, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both husbands; one brother, Clyde Collier; one sister, Iva Jones; one son, Gary Dale Goens; and one grandchild, Carrie Bradford.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church.

Hunt – Diane Kay Hunt of Bedford, IN, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at her residence. Born September 25, 1946, in Danville, IN, she was the daughter of William G. and Julia (Zupancic) Beliles.

Surviving are her father, William G. Beliles of Wichita, KS; three sons: C. Dan R. Magers of Bedford, IN, Eric Hunt of North Vernon, IN, and Rick Hunt of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; two sisters: Julie Ann Sweet and her husband, Harley, of Lizton, IN, and Sherry Karstenson and her husband, John, of Wichita, KS; two brothers: Mike Beliles and his wife, Cindy, of Naples Place, FL, and Steve Beliles and his wife, Kelley, of Wichita, KS; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Beliles; one daughter, Barbara Ott; and one brother, Danny Beliles.

She was a homemaker and owned a ceramics shop. She was also a certified nursing assistant. She was a member of Kingsway Christian Church of Avon.

Johnson – Jeanine Johnson of Bedford, IN, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on April 20, 1935, in Hon Fleur Calvados, France, she was the daughter of Roger and Augustine Marie (Villey) Lafon. She married John Johnson on March 31, 1957, and he survives.

Surviving with her husband are three daughters: Rita Childers of Williams, IN, Danielle Johnson Russell of Mitchell, IN, and Christiane Johnson of Bedford, IN; one brother and one sister (names unknown); nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Church in Bedford.

Swango – Gladys Glee Swango of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at the Stonebridge Health Campus. Born on April 24, 1924, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Elmer and May (Sherill) Graham. She married Rex Swango in November 1951, and he died in February 1968.

Surviving are one sister, Pearl Clark of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her husband, two sisters: Ruby Frye and Thelma Magers.

She retired from Indiana Bell as a telephone operator and attended the Englewood Baptist Church.

Davis – Helen Frances (Hedge) Davis of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at her residence. Born on August 3, 1926, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Fred and Mary (Bright) Hedge. She married Donald Davis in 1942, and he died in 1975.

Surviving are one daughter Patti Crane and husband, Don, of Bedford, IN; three granddaughters: Debbi Crane and husband, J.R., Tricia Guthrie and husband, Greg, and Savannah Crane, all of Bedford, IN; six great granddaughters: Whitley and Courtney Crane, and Kayla, Jessica, Hanna, and Alli Brooke Guthrie all of Bedford, IN; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded was death by her parents and brothers and sisters: Clyde Hedge, Ray Hedge, Cecil Hedge, and Vernon Hedge in infancy, Margaret Beyers, Eva Quakenbush, Blanche Marsh, Violet Owens, Maude Weaver, and Anna Stratton.

She retired in 1993 from Ford Visteon. She had also worked at S.S. Kresge in her youth and at Westinghouse, Indiana University, and Times Mail. She was a member of IUE Local 907 and was a member of Judah Church of Christ.

Pierce – Roger W. Pierce of Mitchell, IN, formerly of Washington, IN, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 14, 1914, in Mitchell, IN, he was the son of Frank and Elsie Ethel (Walton) Pierce. He married Eleanor (Hays) Herndon August 1, 1958, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, Douglas Pierce and wife, Janet, and James Pierce and wife, Anna Belle, all of Mitchell, IN; one daughter, Karen Hill, of Mitchell, IN; one stepdaughter, Roberta Byrd, of Morrow, OH; one stepson, David Herndon, of Marietta, GA; one sister, Alberta Burgett, of Indianapolis; 6 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Pierce; one grandson, Dustin Hill; and granddaughter, Cheryl Pinnick.

He was a retired conductor for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and was a lifetime member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Washington and was a 1932 graduate of Mitchell High School.

Inman – Forrest E. (Johnny) Inman of Bedford, IN, died Friday, May 13, 2005, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on November 20, 1927, in Martin County, IN, he was the son of Forrest and Anna Mae Jackson) Inman. He married Norma Mae Lavender on November 12, 1949, and she died on December 9, 1998.

Surviving is one daughter, Melanie R. Rainey and her husband, Jeff, of Bedford, IN; one grandson, Brackon Rainey; two sisters, Betty Haskett and Sue Meadows, both of Bedford, IN; and his special friend, Carol Hedrick of Bedford, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two brothers: Bill and Tom Inman.

He retired from GM Powertrain in 1992 after forty three years of service and was a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge, AA and UAW Local 440.

Padgett – James “Willkie” Padgett of Owensburg, IN, died Friday, May 13, 2005, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born August 28, 1940, in Greene County, IN, he was the son of Leland D. and Hazel C. (Johnson) Padgett. He married Edna Silvers on November 22, 1961, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are one son, Rick Padgett and his wife, Lisa, of Owensburg, IN; one daughter, Nancy Miller and her husband, Darrell, of Brownsburg, IN; two grandsons, Michael & Ryan Miller; one brother, Johnny Padgett of Spencer, IN, and one sister, Edna Hobbs of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leland, Jr. and Ralph Padgett; and one sister, Wilma Porter.

He was a retired security guard for Indiana Limestone Co. and a member of the Kentucky Ridge Baptist Church.

Buchanan – Christopher Dean Buchanan of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, May 8, 2005, in Bedford, IN, from injuries sustained in an auto-motorcycle accident in Bedford. Born July 15, 1982, in Bloomington, IN, he was the son of Gregory Dean and Kimberly (Fleener) Buchanan.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Kimberly and Tommy Roberts of Bedford, IN; his father, Gregory Dean Buchanan of Bloomington, IN; one brother, Leroy Roberts of Bedford, IN; one sister, Myra Roberts of Bedford, IN; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Myra and Charles Sutton of Bedford, IN; paternal grandmother, Rosemary King of Kentucky; paternal step-grandmother, Annis Buchanan; paternal step-grandfather, Tom Roberts of Centerton, IN; paternal step-great-grandfather, Tom Adams of Bloomington; and step-grandparents, Rick and Gale (Gaines) Adams of Spencer, IN. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leroy Fleener, and his paternal grandfather, Stanley Buchanan.

He was a 2000 graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School and a graduate of Vincennes University with the class of 2003. He graduated with an associate degree. He was employed as a warehouse worker for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. in Bloomington. He attended Dive Christian Church of Bedford and was a member of the Teamster's Union.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 12th, at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Bloomington, with Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery in Bedford. Lynch – Patrick J. Lynch of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at the Bloomington Hospital. Born February 9, 1924, in Saginaw, MI, he was the son of John and Sarah (Moore) Lynch. He married Arvella C. Snow on December 15, 1976, and she died March 18, 2005.

Surviving are one daughter, Sally Kelly of Saginaw, MI; five sons: Tom, Paul, James, Robert and Kevin Lynch all of Saginaw, MI; one sister, Dee Evers of Grand Rapids, MI; one brother, John Lynch of Saginaw, MI; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; one sister, Sally; and three brothers, Edward, William and Robert.

He was retired from General Motors and a veteran of WW II. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Gillen Post #33 American Legion of Bedford.

Memorial services will be scheduled at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at a later date. Burial will follow in Saginaw, MI. No calling hours are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Newsome – Freddie Newsome of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at his residence. Born on October 11, 1952 in Pikeville, KY, he was the son of Andrew and Helen Newsome. He married Kelly Ann Morin on May 25, 1991, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are children: Benjamin Alexander “Alex” Newsome and Rachael Michaela Newsome, both at home, Aaron “Heath” Newsome of Raleigh, NC, and his step-son, Nathaniel Lee Guernsey of Henryville, IN; sisters: Loretta Martin and her husband, Doug, of Virgie, KY, Roberta Blackburn and her husband, Bobby, of Pikeville, KY, Kathy Newsome of Munford, TN, Judy Keene and her husband, David of Shelbiana, KY, Lucille Burke and her husband, Ralph, of Virgie, KY, Karen Hall and her husband, Kimbrel, of Pikeville, KY; one step-granddaughter, Lexie Louise Guernsey of Henryville, IN and many nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Virgie High School and attended Morehead State University receiving his Bachelors in Business Administration in three years and his MBA in one year. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. He studied accounting at Pikeville College and became a CPA in 1982. He then went on to Liberty Baptist University and Theological Seminary where he obtained his Masters in Religious Education and where he was also Assistant Professor of Business. Freddie was Phi Beta Lambda’s Mr. Business Administration in Kentucky in 1973 and placed third in U.S. competition. He taught business and accounting at Pikeville College, Liberty University, Prestonburg Community College, Virginia State University, Milligan College, Bellarmine College, Webster University and University of Louisville. Freddie held position of Controller for Pikeville College, CFO of Discount Labels, New Albany, IN and later opened his own construction and rental property business. He was a Sunday School Superintendent for Dive Christian Church in Bedford.

Grogan – Larry Dean Grogan of Mitchell, IN, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at the VA hospital in Indianapolis. Born on October 26, 1943 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Joseph Edward and Dora Ruth (Hilton) Grogan.

Surviving are two sisters: Phyllis Byers and Reva Underwood and her husband Donald all of Bedford; one brother: James Grogan and his wife Brenda Kay of Michigan City; several nieces & nephews which he was very close to. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a disabled Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 10th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery with graveside military rites accorded by members of the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Melton – Annie Belle Melton of Mitchell, IN, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born April 16, 1924, in Kettle, KY, she was the daughter of Culbert and Mary Ethel (Groce) Riddle. She married William M. "Bill" Melton December 16, 1942, and he died October 1, 2003.

Survivng are three daughters: Mary Frances Terrell and husband, Bill, of Mitchell, IN, Linda Hopper and husband, Danny, of Orleans, IN, and Brenda Gilstrap of Bedford, IN; one son, Jerry Melton and wife, Mary Lou, of Bedford, IN; six sisters: Sarah Coop, of Columbia, KY, Noxie Coffey of Glasgow, KY, Maxie Kingrey of Summer Shade, KY, Mary Crumpton of Summer Shade, KY, Lucy Ross of Tompkinsville, KY, and Nina Berge of Fountain Run, KY; two brothers, Sherman Riddle of Brooklyn, IN, and Gene Riddle of Greensburg, KY; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Nellie Sue Slaten; two sisters, Cleo Miller and Hettie Rush; and one half-brother, Leo Riddle

She was a seamstress and retired from M. Fine & Son. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Bow, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ashcraft – Mary E. Ashcraft of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at the Bloomington Hospital. Born March 28, 1924, in Greene County, IN, she was the daughter of Ogle and Julie (Babb) Jackson. She married Walter L. Ashcraft in May 1941, and he died on September 22, 2000.

Surviving are two daughters, Judy Rayle and Linda Gregory, both of Bedford, IN; two sons, Roger Ashcraft of Georgia and Larry Ashcraft of New York; five granddaughters and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Ronald Ashcraft, and several brothers.

She was retired from NWSC CRANE.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 9th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Mausoleum. Friends may call from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 12:00 noon until the service time Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Hale – Virginia Lee “Ginger” Hale of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at the Stonebridge Health Campus. Born June 26, 1929, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Dillon and Marie (Ford) Marsh. She married Oral H. “Boode” Hale on May 26, 1947, and he died December 20, 2000.

Surviving are one son, Stephen Hale of Bedford, IN; one daughter, Brenda Shaffer of Kingwood, TX; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Joseph Dee Hale.

She was a furniture sales clerk for Hale’s Carriage House Furniture in Bedford and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, May 9th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Revs. Steve Hale and Charles Neuman officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Due to Mother’s Day, no calling hours are scheduled for Sunday. Friends may call from 3:00 -7:00 pm on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Morrow – Jason P. Morrow of Springville, IN, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at his residence. Born May 18, 1938, in Wayne County, KY, he was the son of Roe and Rosa (Kidd) Morrow. He married Janet Andis on April 11, 1961, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters: Anita Kurucz of Brownsburg, IN, and JoAnn Webb and Sarah Morrow, both of Springville, IN; one son, Timothy Morrow of Springville, IN; seven grandchildren: Joey, Lacey and Amy Kurucz, all of Brownsburg, IN, Tyler and Bryce Webb and Courtney and Scott Morrow, all of Springville, IN; nine sisters: Opal Polly, Eva Henderson, Anna Lee Key, Ruby Robbins, Mona Della Smith, Ina Pearl Small, Frances Jones, Rita Aldena New and Nina Dean; and four brothers: Windell, William, Harold and Bobby Morrow. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eulas Morrow; and two sisters, Addie and Malla Morrow

He was a school bus driver for the North Lawrence School Corporation and he was a farmer.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 6th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Revs. Bobby Morrow and Harold Morrow officiating. A graveside committal service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7th, at the Morrow Cemetery in Wayne County, KY, with the Rev. Rick Turner officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary.

Tincher – Leonard William Tincher of Avoca, IN, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at Westview Nursing and Rehab Center. Born July 7, 1913, in Greene County, IN, he was the son of Earl and Clara (Hensley) Tincher. He married Elsie Bernice Martindale and she preceded him in death. He then married Dorval Jackson in 1959 and she survives.

Survivors with his wife are three sons: Marion Tincher of Avoca, IN, Larry Tincher of Guthrie, IN, and Chester Tincher of Springville; IN; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie; one son, Ronald Tincher; one sister, Edith Cmar; and one brother, Merle Tincher.

He was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad; and he was a member of the Faith Mission Church in Bedford where he had served as pastor. He was also a pastor at the Wesleyan Church in Paoli.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4th, at Faith Mission Church of Bedford, with Pastor Leonard Sankey officiating. Burial will follow in Avoca Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 p.m. until the service time Wednesday at the church. The family asks that friends consider making memorial contributions to the Faith Mission Church Building Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Day & Carter Mortuary of Bedford.
