Christopher A. Kidd, 19, of 141 Graves Addition, Avoca, died Sunday at his residence.
Born Feb. 26, 1988, in Bedford, he was the son of Steve and Allison (Rausch) Kidd. He was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School with the class of 2007. He attended WyoTech technical school in Pennsylvania where he was studying automotive mechanics. He was a member of Avoca Baptist Church and enjoyed BMX riding and working on his truck.
Survivors include his parents of Avoca; his maternal grandfather, Edward Rausch of Louisville, Ky.; an uncle, Terry Kidd and wife Terri of Oolitic; aunts: Linda Smith and husband Billy of Springville, Kathi Decker and husband Vince of Elizabethtown, Ky., Cynthia Allar and Frances Nicholson of Pasadena, Calif., Jackie Huff and husband John of Louisville, Ky., and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Hobert and Wilma Kidd; maternal grandmothers: Martha Rausch and Peggy Rausch; and two uncles: David Rausch and Dwight Kidd.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Avoca Baptist Church with Pastor Kyle Witmer and Pastor Ron Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in Avoca Baptist Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Day & Carter Mortuary and from 12:00 noon until the service on Wednesday at the church.

Martha J. Haganman, 75, of 2921 Washington Ave., Bedford, IN, died at 8:22 pm on Monday, November 26, 2007 at Bedford Regional Medical Center.
Born January 13, 1932 in Salem, IN, she was the daughter of Lotus and Lucille (Pollard) Sullivan. She married Stanley L. Haganman on April 2, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1995. She retired as a bookkeeper and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bedford Boat and Sportsmans Club. She was a member of the Christian Church of Salem.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Tabor of Bedford and Gina Hancock of Mitchell; grandchildren, Jeff and Jeremiah Hancock both of Mitchell and Derek Faubion of Bedford; three great grandchildren, Lynndsey Hancock of Mitchell, Olivia and Alexis Faubion both of Bedford and one sister, Marietta Maudlin of Salem. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Cheryl Haganman.

Jane M. King, 50, Mitchell, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Friday as the result of an automobile accident.
Born Feb. 13, 1957, in Martin County, she was the daughter of Gene R. and Joyce S. (Waggoner) Kirk.
She was a custodian at Bedford Middle School.
She graduated from Shoals High School in 1976, and was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Tasha Jayne King of Mitchell; her parents, Gene and Joyce Kirk of Bedford; a twin sister, Jean Bartley and husband Randy of Oakland City; a brother, Justin Kirk and wife Marcia of Burleson, Texas; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her grandson, Isaiah Joseph King, passed away shortly after her death.

Born Dec. 3, 1953, in Bedford, he was the son of Earl and Jeanette (Turner) Cobb.
He was a 1971 graduate of Needmore High School.
He was retired from RCA in Bloomington.
Survivors include one son, Jason Cobb and wife Lori of Bedford; one brother, Steve “Sonny” Cobb and wife Linda of Bedford; one sister, Darlene Caraway and husband Steve of Bedford; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Reece Cobb of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Earl Dean Cobb and Ernie Joel Cobb.

Eugene L. Holsapple, 86, 2230 29th St., Bedford, died at 8:03 p.m. Friday at Garden Villa Nursing Home in Bedford.
Born April 23, 1921, in Mitchell, he was the son of Earl and Eloise (Walls) Holsapple. He married Lois “Maxine” Mundy on July 7, 1941, and she survives.
He retired from Indiana Steel Co. in 1988 with 48 years of service. He was a welder and painter.
He was a member of the Friendly Bible Church in Bedford. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and received two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Medal. He was in the South Pacific Theater at Iwo Jima.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Holsapple of Bedford; four children, Ronnie L. Holsapple and wife Sharon of Bloomington, Beverly Trowbridge-Ross and husband Jerry of Bedford, Mike Holsapple and wife Darnell of Williams and Julie Lewis and husband Dave of Bedford; one son-in-law, Charlie Pemberton, Mitchell; one daughter-in-law, Darlene Holsapple, Springville; one brother, Bob Holsapple and wife Joyce of Salem; 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters, one daughter, Loretta Pemberton; one son, Larry Holsapple; and one son-in-law, Dennis Trowbridge.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery with graveside military rites by the Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 33.

Francille I. Colglazier, 84, Mitchell, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 28, 1923, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Lee and Stella (Brinegar) McDonald. She was raiased in the home of Everett and Pearl Sorrells of Huron and married Warren G. Colglazier November 26, 1943.
She was a homemaker and a 1942 graduate of Huron High School. She was member of the Huron Baptist Church, Huron WTK Club, Bryantsville Homemakers Club, and had been the 4-H leader of the Bryantsville Livewires for 35 years.
Surviving: husband, Warren G. Colglazier, Mitchell; children, Marietta Swaim, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Terry Allen Colglazier and wife, Jean, Clinton, North Carolina, Myra Elaine Colglazier, Bedford, Anita Lynn Colglazier, Raleigh, North Carolina, Mark Warren Colglazier, Mitchell, 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Her parents; brothers, Cecil Brinegar, Herschel Ferguson, Harry McDonald, and Hassel Brinegar; sister, Ethel Brinegar; and son-in-law, Al Swaim, preceded her in death.

Born July 20, 1950, in Bedford, he was the son of Wallace E. and Pernie (Houchin) Reynolds. He married Rosellen Brown April 19, 1970. He retired from General Motors in 2000. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 250, American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

Blanche E. Webb, 82, of Bedford, IN, died at 4:28 pm on Monday, November 19, 2007 at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born February 19, 1925, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Matt and Addie (Stewart) Delpha. She married Leland G. Webb on May 15, 1987 and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2006. She was a waitress at Hoover’s Candy during her teenage years and then worked at the candy counter at S.S. Kresge’s Store.
Survivors include a nephew, Guy Delphia of Bedford; a niece, Linda Clevenger of Parker City and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Henry, Guy and Marion Delpha and one sister, Mary Carmel.

“Rusty” passed away at 6:29 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at Bloomington Hospital.
Marion was born to Ralph and Goldie (Dalton) Krenke, the youngest of five children.
He married Sheila Wade in 1966. Later he married Martha A. Fox.
In his passing, he leaves behind his wife, Martha; three daughters: Crystal Perin and husband Dr. James Perin, Lori Potts and companion Jason Taylor, and Amber Rexroat; three stepchildren: Jeffrey Salyer and Brooke and Anne Salyer; 14 grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Devin, Lynsi, Paris, Magan, Allison, Taylor, Mattix, Maddison, Lilly, Michaela, Dakota and Taryn; two brothers: Glen “Buck” Krenke and his wife Annie, Robert “Bob” Krenke and his wife Sue; two sisters: Clare Rose Krenke and Glenda Norris, and several nieces and nephews.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents.
Marion was a member of the Eagle Aerie No. 654 of Bedford.

Born Sept. 6, 1929, in LaCrosse, she was the daughter of Waldo H. and Ruth E. (Spry) Witmer. She married Robert Eugene Mundy on Oct. 12, 1947.
She graduated from Orleans High School in 1947 and was a retired medical assistant for Dr. Schoolfield, Dr. Woolery and Dr. Dino. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Bedford Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include daughters: Jana Jean Mann and fiance´ Dennis Amstutz, Mitchell and Anita Gayle Schulz and husband Robert of New Albany; and son, Alan Lee Mundy and wife DeLynn of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren: Melissa Jean Courter and husband Brent, Monica Ranae Ralph and husband Adam, EmmaLee Christine Mundy, Ethan Alan Mundy, Elisabeth Delynn Mundy, Gregory Warren Schulz, and Eric Robert Schulz; and great-granddaughters: Kyleigh and Breanna Courter and Olivia Ralph.

Flora McCain, 89, J Street, Bedford, died at 12:22 p.m. Saturday at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
Born Feb. 17, 1918, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Everett Barnett and Sylvia (Tincher) Barnett. She married Ross McCain on May 5, 1941, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 2002.
She was a graduate of Oolitic High School with the class of 1936. She was secretary at the U.S. Forest Service office in Bedford for 19 years, retiring on Feb. 28, 1980.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Bedford; a member of the Ground Observation Corps; and a volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Kidd and husband Dennis of Bedford; one grandson, Ross Kidd of Bedford; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, Roy, Carl and Walter Barnett.

Mary J. Taylor, 91, of River Bluff Road, passed away at her residence on Friday.
Born on Dec. 20, 1915, she was the daughter of Milton Harvey Warner and Mary Ellen (Layton) Warner. She married Robert L. Taylor on Oct. 15, 1932, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1997.
She had worked as a ward clerk for Dunn Hospital and also worked at Reliance, Crane, Delco and J.C. Penney Co.
She was a member of First Christian Church, AARP and Ludeans. She greatly enjoyed weekly bingo and all of her friends there.
Surviving are one daughter, Janis Nolan and husband Ronald of Bedford; four grandchildren, Laura Mizerak of Chandler, Debra Turner and husband Greg of Bedford; Jeremy Nolan and wife Charity of Bedford and Mary Ann Weilbaker and husband Trent of Bedford; and nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Katie and Kasidy Mizerak, Colt, and Ella Turner and Levi, Garrett and Maxwell Nolan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, William Milton, Paul Emanuel; and four sisters, Ruth Cooksey, Florence Riede, Vivan Gould and Grace in infancy.

Carolyn Manetta Tincher, 68, a lifelong resident of Lawrence County, 35 years in the Springville area, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at her residence.
She was born Jan. 6, 1939, in Lawrence County, the daughter of Thomas and Inez (Wells) Evans. She married Chester W. Tincher on May 23, 1957, in Avoca, having celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 23, and he survives.
She spent 18 years as a Home Interiors and Gifts displayer. She was a graduate of Oolitic High School with the class of 1957 and a member of Avoca Baptist Church and the Women’s Missionary Night Circle.
Surviving with her husband, Chester W. Tincher of Springville; are three daughters: Deanna Crane and Cherryl Tincher, both of Springville, and Melinda Donoho and husband Greg of Indianapolis; four grandchildren: Jamie Pittman and husband Brett of Springville, and Ethan, Liam and Elena Donoho of Indianapolis; two great-grandchildren: Michael and Bailey Pittman; two sisters: Catherine Edington of Florida and Rosemary Blyeth and husband Jim of Springville; two brothers-in-law; 13 nieces and nephews and 20 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tom Evans Jr.; and one son-in-law, Don Crane.

Vernon Darrell Sergent, 55, Mitchell, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Sunday at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford.
Born Nov. 21, 1951, in Whitesburg, Ky., he was the son of Morris Hugh and Mattie Jane (Lucas) Sergent. He married Nelva Denise Middleton on Sept. 4, 1970, and she survives.
He was a retired truck driver for Rumpke and a member of the Bride of Christ Fellowship.
Surviving with his wife, Nelva Sergent of Mitchell; are three daughters: Pamela Dalton and Caroline Sergent, both of Mitchell, and Sandra Jackson of Jeffersonville; four sisters: Brenda Porter, Glenda Sergent and Freda Underhill, all of French Lick, and Rita Lawrence of Huntingburg; seven brothers: Jimmy Sergent, of Dover Hill, Ricky Sergent of Loogootee, Claude Sergent of Paoli, Jay Sergent of Bryantsville, Jesse Sergent of Shoals, Phillip Sergent of Idaho, and Randall Sergent of French Lick; six grandsons and two granddaughters.
His parents and sister, Linda Hill, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Bride of Christ Fellowship with Brother Jerry Allen officiating. Cremation was chosen and burial will be in Port Williams Cemetery at a later date.

Born Nov. 10, 1969, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Michael and Rita (Harrison) Busch. He married Greta Wessel.
He was a laborer at Osmose Corp. until he became disabled. He was a member of Bedford Baptist Temple.
Survivors include two sons: Daniel Busch and Nathaniel Busch, both of Bedford; one daughter, Lea Marie Busch of Bedford; his parents, Michael and Rita Busch, Bedford; his companion, Kelly Van Meter of Bedford; two brothers: Tom Busch and Steve Busch, both of Bedford; one sister, Charlotte Blackburn of Bedford; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev. Steve Goens officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

Vernon K. Hutton, 77, of West Chester, Ohio, died at 12:07 p.m. Thursday at home after a long illness.
He was the son of Millard and Olive Hutton of Oolitic, and married Shirley Gossman of Bedford in 1958. They have lived in West Chester, Ohio since 1963.
He was the former owner of West Chester Cyclery and was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include four children: Suzi Rubin of Monroe, Ohio, and J.B. Hutton, Steve Hutton, and Bruce Hutton, all of West Chester, Ohio, and twelve grandchildren; He also leaves two brothers, William Hutton and Sherrill Hutton.

Wayne Edward Turpen, 67, Bedford, died at 4:17 p.m. Monday at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.
Born March 29, 1940, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Ezra Turpen and Lily Evalou (Wray) Turpen/Porter. He married Judy Meadows Nov. 2, 1963, in Bedford, and she survives.
He was the assistant production manager at Coca Cola in Bedford for 27 years. He then worked as a press operator at W.F. Meyers Co., in Bedford for 20 years, retiring in March of this year.
He was a graduate of Bedford High School with the class of 1958. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and UAW Local No. 1123.
Surviving with his wife, Judy, of Bedford; are two sons: DeWayne E. Turpen and wife Amy M. of Springville, and Brian Scott Turpen and wife Vickie Jo of Bedford; one daughter, Jennifer Lee Fox and husband Jeremy of Jackson County; four grandchildren: Jordan Cavins, Derek Turpen, Garrett Turpen and Jachin Fox; one sister, Ruth Porter of Bedford; one half-brother, Jesse Turpen; and two half-sisters: Dena and Edwana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford with Minister Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

Robert E. Dillon Sr., 79, Bedford, died at 7:05 p.m. Sunday in Bloomington.
Born Oct. 14, 1928, in Indian Springs, he was the son of Roy H. and Della (Lewis) Dillon, both deceased. He married Shirley (Walls) on Dec. 19, 1954, in Loogootee, and she survives.
He was an auto mechanic at Carson Ford in Brownsburg for 20 years. He also worked for the Lawrence County Highway Department, retiring as road foreman in 2004.
He was a graduate of Shoals High School with the class of 1947. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are: his wife, Shirley Dillon, Bedford; one son, Robert E. Dillon, Bedford; three grandchildren: Michael Dillon, Courtney Dillon and Ashley Dillon; two sisters: Mary Baker of Shoals and Joan Frye of Loogootee; three nieces: Beth Lewis of Oolitic, Susan Sanders of Bedford, and Lisa Dillon of Bloomington; and one nephew, John Dillon of Oolitic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, John Dillon in 2000.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. today at Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals with the Rev. Kenneth Walden officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens in Bedford.

He worked in sales and service for Evenson Explosives.

He was a truck driver for Stonebelt Freight Lines and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Wilford D. Jackson, 83, 305 West 10th Street Oolitic, died at 7:03 p.m. on Friday at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford.
Born Aug. 25, 1924, he was the son of Sherman and Lillian Frowe (Duke) Jackson. He married Patricia A. Kirkman on April 27, 1947, in Sullivan and she survives.
He was a pipefitter for 18 years at General Motors in Bedford. He was a member of Englewood Baptist Church, US Army veteran serving in World War II, a past president of the BNL Band Parents, a Red Coat Volunteer at Dunn Memorial Hospital, and a past Sunday school teacher.
He loved the outdoors and working with his hands, but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren.
Surviving with his wife Patricia are his children, Ruth Ann Harris and husband Keith of Bedford, and Guy W. Jackson and wife Janet of Evansville; one granddaughter, Amy Leigh Kendall and husband Donnie; three grandsons, Daniel, Patrick, and Peter Jackson; two brothers, Gary Jackson, and Dean Jackson; and four sisters, Dora Knight, Myra Shipman, Gloria Kruchten, Jewell Sweeney.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Ellen Lynn Jackson; one son, Steven Ross Jackson; and two brothers, Tunis Paul Jackson, and Cloyce Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. David Ferry and the Rev. Bob Kirkman officiating. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens with military rites accorded at the grave by the American Legion Gillen Post 33.

Born Sept. 8, 1940, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Frank and Lorene (Greer) Banks. He married Sharon Daughtery on May 19, 1961, in Bedford, and she preceded him in death on May 25, 1990.
He was a dog lover and a Beagle breeder.
Survivors include one daughter, Cathy Ann Banks of Bedford; two sons, Dennis Wayne and Brian Lee Banks, both of Bedford; one grandson, James Lee Banks of Bedford; one sister, Wanda Jackson and husband Jack of Harrodsburg; and three brothers, Mack Banks and wife Millie and Chet Banks and wife Patty, all of Bedford, and Roger “Tiny” Banks and wife Marilyn of Washington.

Donald C. McGregor, 77, Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Bedford, died Tuesday at his residence.
Born July 31, 1930, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Ralph and Bettie (Moore) McGregor. He married Brenda F. Meadows, and she survives.
He retired after 20 years with the National Guard and also retired from GM Powertrain after 38 years. He and his son owned and operated McGregor’s Heating and Air, Inc. for 13 years. He was Manager of Bedford Independent Federal Credit Union where he also served on the board of directors and as treasurer for 10 years.
He was a member of the Hilldale United Methodist Church in Clarksville, the Bedford Masonic Lodge No. 14, LA-OR-MA Shrine Club and Scottish Rite and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda F. McGregor, Clarksville; sons, Scott and Schel McGregor, both of Bedford; daughters, Shawn Liford, Bedford and Sheree Spinks, Linton; stepdaughter, Barbi Mitchell Stevenson, Clarksville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, with the Rev. Skip Armistead officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens in Bedford.
