Orleans Residents Learn About Town Bike and Pedestrian Planning Effort

Several Orleans residents came out to Town Hall last Tuesday night for the first of two scheduled public meetings to learn first-hand about the town's Bike and Pedestrian Master

Planning process underway and provide feedback on the draft materials. The Town of

Orleans kicked off the planning efforts late last fall after receiving a $20,000 grant from the Indiana Department of Health. Over the past several months, the project team has been working with an advisory committee made up of Orleans residents and community

leaders to develop a series of goals and proposed recommendations for where improvements

are needed. A second public meeting is set for April 20th 5:00 p.m. in conjunction with the regular town council meeting. The public is welcome and urged to attend.
