Marion R. Tincher, 78, of Avoca, passed away at 8:16 pm on Friday, February 25, 2022.
Born December 7, 1943, in Linton, he was the son of Leonard and Elsie (Martindale) Tincher. He married Irma Gayle Lee on June 8, 1962, and she preceded him in death on November 13, 2017.
He retired as a die maker for General Motors and attended Grace Baptist Church in Springville. He was a devoted husband who loved his family.
Survivors include two sons, Brad Tincher and wife, Gayla, and Alan Tincher and wife, Angie, all of Springville; grandchildren, Heather Lynn and husband, Mark, Kelli Heil and husband, Andrew, Alana Miller and husband, Jacub, Alyssa Tincher, Aubrey Lynn, Asher Lynn, Charlotte Heil, Shelby Heil, and Cecil Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and three brothers, Ronald, Chester, and Larry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, March 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Bob Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Avoca Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 3rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Florence L. Canada Carey, 101, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at StoneBridge Health Campus in Bedford.
Born February 17, 1921 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Welker and Luanna (Wagoner) Wright. She married Reverend Frank Canada September 14, 1936 and he preceded her in death February 7, 1978. Her second marriage was to Everett N. Carey who also preceded her in death.
Florence was a homemaker and a member of the Orleans Church of the Nazarene. She was a Godly woman and the best mother and grandmother ever. Florence loved her family, church, caring for flowers, and playing bingo. She and her husband, Frank used to renovate and rent houses.
Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Lou (Larry) McNabb of Mitchell; grandchildren, Greg (Richelle) Onley, Marsha (Kenny) Edwards, Don (JoDeana) McNabb, Michelle (Jeff) Scholl, Jeff (Marissa) Canada, and Jill and Jan; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Her parents; husbands; sons, Jerry Lee Canada and in childhood, Brenda’s twin brother, Roger Franklin Canada; and siblings, Mary Madgeline Craig, Ralph Wright, Ora Wright, Cora Mowie, Novella Wagner, Hazel Miles, Edith Hackler, Merlin Sipes and Opal Sipes preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Jerry Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Silverville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Patrick McCloud Stalker, 51, of Orleans, passed away in Fayetteville, Georgia.
He was born November 19, 1970 in Bedford, IN, the son of Jimmie McCloud and Rosie (Noblitt) Stalker.
He worked thirty-four years with Reynolds Construction, starting out as a part time summer laborer and worked his way up to vice-president. He graduated from Orleans High School, class of 1989, attended Vincennes University and Rose- Hulman University, obtaining degrees in mechanical and civil engineering.
Patrick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as attending IU football games.
He is survived by his mother, of Orleans; four siblings, Annie Pittman of Orleans, Tony (Vanetta) Stalker of Orleans, Mickey Stalker of Orleans and Julie (Larry) Woolsey of French Lick; six nephews; five nieces; seven great nephews; three great nieces and one great-great niece.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Ginger Stalker
The funeral will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Orleans.

James L. “Jim” Walton

James L. “Jim” Walton, 85, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Indiana University Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born January 8, 1937 in Loogootee, he was the son of Garrison and Aletta (Divine) Walton. He married Martha L. Harrison September 24, 1960.
Jim retired from Lehigh Cement Company with 32 years of service and had also been employed at U.S. Gypsum for 11 years. He was a Godly and quick witted man who loved and was devoted to his family, friends, dog, and farming. Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church and a 1954 graduate of Loogootee High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the Warren Brock American Legion Post No. 69.
Surviving are his wife, Martha L. Walton of Mitchell; daughter, Jamie (Troy) Young of Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Evalyn Walton of Mitchell; grandchildren, Dr. Landon (Calin) Young, Lauren (Josh) Wade, Elizabeth (Luke) Baker, Daniel (Kristin) Walton, and Hannah (Jarrod) Pickel; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Bob (Sheryl) Walton of Mitchell, Linda (Bill) Hagerdy of Loogootee, Janet Hart of Sullivan; sister-in-law, Helen Moffatt of Noblesville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His parents; son, David Walton; siblings, Dean Walton, Margie Walton, and Addie Darlene Walton; and brother-in-law, Fred Hart, preceded him in death.
A private funeral service will be Monday with burial in Mitchell Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by Warren Brock American Legion Post No. 69.

Norma C. Lambert, 80, of Bedford, IN, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Garden Villa in Bedford.
She was born on April 30, 1941, in Seymour, IN to the late George Marvin Doerr & Gladys Burcham Doerr. She was a Realtor for Coldwell Banker. Norma enjoyed embroidering, sewing, & listening to music.
She is survived by her caretakers, Lynn Duke & Misty Hopper, whom she considered her daugthers; nephews: Christopher Doerr & Doug (Linda) Doerr; & several great nieces & nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Marvin & Jon Doerr, & a niece, Stephanie.
A Celebration of Norma’s life will be held at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia, on Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will take at Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Donald Everett Mains, age 80, died at his daughter’s home surrounded by family and love the evening of Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Don and Nancy (Baker) would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Mains, Bedford; his children, Donald E. Mains, Jr., Brownsburg, IN; Melinda K. Mains, Indianapolis; and Christopher M. (Kirsten) Mains, Avon, IN; his grandchildren Zachary Mains, Eileen (Kyle) Archer, Tori Mains, and Dakota Mains; his greatgrandchildren Jaxton Archer and Holley Archer; his brothers Larry (Mary) Mains, Independence, KY; Doug (Debbie) Mains, Independence, KY; and Wallace (Pat) Mains, Florence, KY.
Preceding him in death, his parents Everett and Mildred Mains; and his sister Beverly Joyce Mains.
Don earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Physics from the University of Kentucky. He worked as an engineer for 43 years at the Naval Weapon Support Center, Crane.
Don was a servant leader at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Bedford and the Christian Church in Indiana. He found great joy in his work at Camp Bedford. A man of deep faith and devotion to his family; he was loved by many and will be missed.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022 at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 1101 15th Street, Bedford, IN 47421. Visitation with the family from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Kenneth Dale “Punk” Martin, 77, of Bedford, passed away at 2:43 pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born August 26, 1944, in Bedford, he was the son of James Lloyd and Helen (Speer) Martin. He married Nancy East and she survives. He was a forklift operator at General Motors and a member of Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of Bedford; a son, Kenneth Dale Martin, II and wife, Aimee, of Bedford; a daughter, Melissa Garcia and husband, Antolin, of Bedford; eleven grandchildren, Dylan Parsley and wife, Emma, Jacob Martin, Kaitlyn Martin and Dalton, Abby Parsley, Levi Martin and fiancé Jeslyn, Alexandria Rizzi and husband, Nick, Christopher Prado, Brooke Martin, Hillary Prado, Sarah Prado, and James Kenneth Martin; great-granddaughter, Callie; several nieces and nephews.

Peter Jerome McMinds III

Pete was born October 28, 1967 in Phoenix, Arizona, he the son of Peter J. Jr. and Virginia (Ginny) (Dougherty) McMinds. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and infant niece.
He married Lisa (McCarty) McMinds on September 17, 2005 in Columbus, IN.
He was the father of ‘bonus’ daughters, Elizabeth and Rebekah McCarty, his son, Peter J. McMinds IV, and adopted daughter Jillian Nicole.
Pete leaves behind, in addition to his loving wife and adored children, his amazing mother, Ginny McMinds; two dear sisters: Patricia J. McMinds and Jennifer L.Horton-Dynneson (David); nieces and nephews: Julie Stanley, Mitchell Stanley, Amy (Lee) Poole, Louis (Meghan) Horton, Matthew (Sara) Horton, James (Chelsey) Horton, Kaylee Horton (Shawn); and two great nieces and seven great nephews.
Pete was a favorite uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. In 2001 Pete was blessed with a ‘bonus’ family which includes surviving sister Janet (Knight) Noe, her husband Charles Noe, nieces Beth True and Jennifer (Chris) Bush; two great nieces and a great nephew. In 2005, when Pete married Lisa, he added four brothers to his family: John, Jim, Craig and Scott, and all of their adored children.
In his youth he sang in the Phoenix Boys’ Choir, loved playing piano and was a Boy Scout for many years. In high school he formed and was a drummer in a ‘basement’ band; he played high school and junior college football.
Pete’s career work included many years as an over-the-road semi-truck driver. His travels over 30 plus years of driving covering most of the United States; however, in 2005 he wanted to be home every night, so he started driving local routes. Recently, he received recognition celebrating his dedicated ten-year service with Celadon/TA Services in Greenwood, IN.
He volunteered, along with his wife, Lisa, in supporting the work of the Columbus Young Marines. He encouraged, supported and assisted in his children’s many school and sports activities. Pete was a participant in the Annual Columbus, Indiana Santa Claus Pub Crawl, a fundraiser for local charities. He had been an SAL member of American Legion Post no. 250. He was a huge Indianapolis Colts fan.
Pete lived life to the fullest! He was always eager and ready for the next adventure. One of his favorite highlights was a three-generation sky-diving adventure with his mom and nephew. He enjoyed being surrounded by all those he loved.
He was a happy man, hard-working, light-hearted, humorous, with a listening heart of gold … always prepared to share a funny story or humorous joke. His goal in life was to make those around him laugh … he truly believed that laughter was the best medicine. Pete was a trusted and grateful friend to a handful of “brothers from other mothers”. If you were his friend, you were family! To know Pete was to love Pete.

Mary D. Driskill-Patton, 50, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at her home.
She was born August 6, 1971, in Austin, Texas.
Mary loved being a nurse and had worked in various hospitals and nursing facilities throughout Indiana. She was currently employed at Mitchell Manor as an LPN. Mary graduated in 1989 from Madison Heights High School in Anderson and then earned her nursing certification from Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana. Mary was an animal lover, especially her kitties, Vlad and Reni.
Survivingare her sons, Cody David Driskill of Mitchell, Levi Garrett Patton of Mitchell; mother and stepfather, Annick and David Watson of Mitchell; sister, Mechelle (Leonard) Caka of Shiner, Texas; several aunts, uncles, cousins and her loving Texas family.
Her grandparents and an aunt preceded her in death.
Cremation was chosen with a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Dennis James Alcorn, 66, of Bedford, passed away at 5:09 am on Monday, February 21st at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born August 27, 1955, in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of Buford D. and Jeanette (Neal) Alcorn. He married Amy Lynn McCart on April 6, 1982, and she survives.
He worked for Local #841 Operating Engineers for 30 years. He attended the Clearview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Amy, of Bedford; three children, Cory Alcorn, Jessica Sargent, and Kyle Alcorn and wife, Amanda, all of Bedford; four grandchildren, Brady Alcorn, Evan Sargent, Berkleigh Alcorn, and Knox Alcorn; one brother, Kenny Alcorn, of Kentucky; a brother-in-law, Mark Fields, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rita Fields.

Jerry Dean Tolbert, 70, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022, at I. U. Health Hospital, Bedford.
He was born April 1, 1951, in Lawrence County, to Ray and Fannie (Hall) Tolbert. He married Connie Sue Speer on June 3, 1972, and she survives.
Jerry was a farmer and had previously worked for Cummins Engine in Columbus. He was a graduate of Mitchell High School, class of 1969. He was a member of Medora Masonic Lodge #328, Seymour Order of the Eastern Star #134 and Fairview Church of Christ.
Surviving to cherish Jerry’s memory is his wife, Connie; daughter, Melody (Kris Gates) Tolbert; son, Jerry “Wayne” (Charity) Tolbert; grandchildren, Jacklyn (Ethan) Reynolds, Chelsey Tolbert, Zachary Tolbert, Samuel Tolbert and Zoe Tolbert; great-grandchildren, Bentley Tolbert and Wyatt Reynolds; and sister, Diane (Dean) Taylor.
Preceding Jerry in death were his parents; and brothers, Bobby Lee Tolbert and Ray Eugene Tolbert.

Stuart L. Burton age 83 of Bedford passed away on Saturday February 19, 2022 at 2:40 am at IU Bloomington Hospital.
He was born in Oswego, Illinois on October 19, 1938 to Layne Burton and Frances (Boswell) Burton. He married Anna “Ann” Hagy in January 1964 in Washington, D.C. and she survives. Stuart was in management in Aluminium Reclamation at Minerals Processing in Bedford, Mica Metals, Needmore Processing, Massena Minerals Processing, South Carolina Minerals Processing, and retired in 2007 from Aleris International. He was a member and Deacon at the Bedford Baptist Temple. He was an US Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Anna “Ann” Burton of Bedford; three children, Stuart Scott (Lorrayne) Burton of Mitchell, Mark Anthony (Lori) Burton of Bedford, and Sheri Ann (Rhett) Dallas of Bloomington; six grandchildren, Zachary Burton, Stephen Burton, Rayah Dallas, Logan Dallas, Chasity (Jordan) Hawkins and Kendall Davis; six great grandchildren, Luke, Hailey, Jonstyn, Quinn Hawkins, Gabriel and Addie Davis; one brother, Frank (Denise) Burton of Missouri; and sister-in-law, Iris Burton of Ohio.

Larry K. Armstrong age 83 of Bedford passed away on February 16, 2022 at 10:20 Pm at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born on March 6, 1938 in Lawrence County to Otho and Isma (Hammersley) Armstrong. Larry married Kolena Kay Harrison on April 29, 1972 and she survives.
Larry served in the US Navy and travelled around the World. He was a Christian and passed away to go to Heaven, and he prays to see us all there.
Survivors include his wife, Kolena Kay Armstrong, daughters, Patty Mabrey and Susan Busch, sister, Dana Daniels, brother, David Armstrong, sister-in-law’s; Polly Flynn, Brenda (Russell) Watson and Patty Turner, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Rita Busch.

Jerry Lee Holtsclaw

Jerry Lee Holtsclaw, 76, of Oolitic, passed away Wednesday evening, February 16, 2022, surrounded by his family and friends, at his residence.
Born May 24, 1945, in Terre Haute, Indiana, he was the son of Robert P. and Orzella M. (Rodgers) Holtsclaw. He married Carol Oliver on December 15, 1967, and she survives.
Jerry was a veteran of the Vietnam war, serving in the U.S. Army. During his tour in the Vietnam war, he was exposed to Agent Orange. He retired from General Motors in Bedford after 40-years of driving a fork-lift truck. He was a life-time member of D.A.V, a member of VFW and the American Legion. Jerry loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and he felt most at peace when he was on the river.
He also enjoyed Nascar racing and attending the local dirt-track races. He was a Fierce competitor in gun-shoots. Jerry frequented most auctions, especially Robinsons, and he became quite an avid collector. However, his most prized enjoyment was spending time with family, friends, and neighbors.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, of Oolitic; a daughter, Michelle Cummings (Barry) of Bedford; a son, James L. Holtsclaw (Charity) of Orleans. Four grandchildren: Brandon Holtsclaw, Alycia Logsdon, Jerrica Holtsclaw and Jessie Albertson. Two great-grandchildren: Izzy Holtsclaw and Peyton Albertson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Lex Holtsclaw, James E. Holtsclaw, Robert Preston Holtsclaw Jr., and Ernie W. Holtsclaw; two sisters: Dorothy Armstrong and Mary Jane Price; one grandson: Jordan Lee Holtsclaw.
Jerry has chosen to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 19, 2022 at 1:00 pm located at Robinson’s Auction Barn (8620 N ST Rd 37 Orleans, IN 47452).

Ruth was born January 21, 1938 in Heltonville to Sidney and Carrie (Raines) Prewitt. She was a home maker and enjoyed arts and crafts and baking. She married Roger Horton July 1, 1978 and he survives.

She was born on July 6, 1929 in Anderson, Indiana to Lothar and Violet (Kelly) Henning. She married Robert Everett Smith of Plymouth, IN at the Noble Street Methodist Church in Anderson, Indiana on June 8, 1950.
Helen attended Anderson High School and graduated in 1947. She then attended Ball State Teachers College, graduating in November, 1950 with a B.S. degree. She received a Masters in Nutrition from Ball State University in May of 1970. Her teaching career started at Ball State in the early 1970’s and she received a Doctorate in Nutrition Education from Purdue University in May of 1977. In 1978 she became the Home Economics Chair at Ball State University, retiring in May of 1990.
Helen was a member of the Honor society at Ball State; the Jayshees, Muncie; the Civitan, Muncie; the Altrusa Club, Muncie; the Indiana Retired Teachers Association, Bedford; the Alpha Sigma Tau, Ball State Teachers College; the Cum Libris, Bedford; and had served as secretary of the American Dietetics Association, Muncie. She was a member of Noble Street Methodist Church, Anderson, High Street United Methodist Church, Muncie and the First United Methodist Church, Bedford.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Helen is her husband of 71 years, Robert Everett Smith of Mitchell; five children, Karyn Smith Price, John (Maurya) Smith, Diane (Kenneth Criswell) Smith, Dan (John McAninch) Smith, and Andrew (Jane) Smith; five grandchildren, Tiffany Smith (Cameron Anderson) Laughlin, Samantha Smith (Billy) Wellman, Zachary (Heather Jones) Smith, Taylor Smith, and Blair Smith (Rhett) Hiestand; great grandchildren, Calvin Laughlin, Winnie Laughlin, and Bo Wellman; and her sister, Jeanine Henning Stewart.
Funeral services for Helen Marie (Henning) Smith will be at 11:00am Monday, February 21, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Bedford with Pastor Judi Early officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00am-11:00am, also at the First United Methodist Church in Bedford.

Mary V. (Bass) Osborne, 101, of Bedford, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
Born in Mitchell, IN, she was the daughter of Reed Bass and Christine (Morarity) Bass. She married Eugene Osborne on July 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death on August 25, 1988.
Mary was formerly the owner and operator of Bass Liquors in Mitchell. Bass Liquors was founded by her father in 1936 and is still owned and operated by her son, Tim. Mary enjoyed playing cards, working crossword puzzles, and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Bedford. She was a graduate of Mitchell High School with the class of 1939.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Mary are, her five children: Tim Osborne of Mitchell, Christina Martin of Louisville, KY, Teresa Walls of Bedford, Charles Louis “Louie” (Linda) Osborne of Clarksville, TN, and Brenda (Bennie) Smith of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Lee (Sandy) Martin, Barry (Kim) Martin, Tommy Walls, Kevin Walls, Matthew (fiancé, Michelle Spray) Walls, Tyler (Maggie) Mosier, Stacy Hoover, Shelley (Robb) Fladry; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her favorite niece, Carol (Darryl) Bennett of Columbus.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; two sons-in-law, Ken Smith and Tom Walls; and sister-in-law, Ruth Turner.

James Arthur “Jim” Wells

James Arthur “Jim” Wells, 78, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born June 10, 1943, in Potsdam, New York, he was the son of Basil C. and Theda (Fadden) Wells. He married Linda C. Bryant September 19, 1964.
James retired from General Motors with 36 years of service. He was previously the assistant fire chief and member of the Brasher-Winthrop Fire Department. Jim was past president of the Tri-Town Minor Hockey League. As a major participant, he coached and performed maintenance. Jim loved old farm tractors, cars, tinkering in the garage, and hanging out at the Deers Inn.
His biggest love was his family and he had a special relationship with each of his grandchildren. Jim has been a great caretaker for his wife. Jim was a funny guy and liked to joke. He was a 1962 graduate of St. Lawrence Central High School. Jim was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brasher Falls and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mitchell.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Wells of Mitchell; children, Michele L. (Timothy) Wilder of Cicero, New York, Ross J. Wells of Mitchell, Eric (Jamie) Wells of Salem, Joey Wells of Mitchell; grandchildren, James (Kayla) Wilder, Justin (Kristen) Wilder, Jordan (Nolan) Rogers, Jared Wells, Jamison Wells, Jackson Wells, Kayla (Chandler) Watts, Catherine (Logan) Gore, Kody Wells, and Kirsten Sexton; great grandchildren, Gracelyn, Liam, Audriana, and Maitlyn; siblings, Bruce (Carolyn) Wells of Brasher Falls, New York, Gary Wells of Massena, New York, Sharon (Wayne) Demcsak of Reston, Virginia, Arnita Clark of Norfolk, New York, Kathleen (Tom) Hazen of Potsdam, New York, Patricia (Bruce) Winers of South Colton, New York; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his cat, Puddy.
His parents; infant daughter, Jeanette; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Donald Kerns; brother-in-law, Arthur Clark; sister-in-law, Nancy Sweet; and father and mother-in-law, Bernard and Catherine Bryant, preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Jegan Peter and Deacon Dave Rising officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Dolores “Jean” Anderson, 90, of Martinsville, formerly of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Grand Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Martinsville.
Born May 13, 1931, in Brownstown, she was the daughter of Raymond Shepard and Anna Lee (Watts) Shepard Lowther. She married Dean Anderson on September 15, 1950, and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1996.
She was a graduate of Bedford High School with the class of 1949. She was an industrial buyer for United Technology in Indianapolis retiring in 1986. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, L.I.F.E. and the Red Cross. She volunteered at the White River Lodge, Westview Nursing and Bedford Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and reading.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Anderson and wife, Kimberly, of Gosport, IN, John Anderson, of Pendleton, IN and Bryan Anderson, of Martinsville; three granddaughters, Judy Entique, Julia Brink, and Amy Thompson; six great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Plummer, of Medora, IN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her step-father, John Lowther, and a sister, Marilyn (in infancy); a daughter-in-law, Debbie Anderson.

John Lester Fahl, 80, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at his home.
Born February 25, 1941, in Rochester, New York, he was the son of John and Anna (Kish) Fahl. He married Janet M. Dougherty June 6, 1958.
John had been employed at the R. D. Wener Company and was a truck driver in the mining industry. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing, and boating. John, along with his wife, loved the outdoors, RV traveling, and being camp hosts. He was a member of White River Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Fahl of Bedford; children, Greg (Pam) Fahl of Bedford, Rodney Fahl of Bedford, Kimberly (Bruce) Brem of Payson, Arizona, Timothy (Diana) Fahl of Harper, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Kelly of Anaheim, California; several nieces and nephews.
His parents and brother, Frank Fahl, preceded him in death.

Jaden Bradley Rayhill, 29, of Bedford, passed away at 7:44 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born January 24, 1993, he was the son of Jason C. Rayhill and Misty L. (Watson) Sears. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching Pro Wrestling.
Survivors include his parents, Misty and Tony Sears, and Jason Rayhill all of Bedford; three sisters, Audie Rayhill Phillips (Matthew) and Breeana Rayhill, and Lexus Wood Richardson (Austin), of Bedford; maternal grandparents, Brenda and Russell Watson; paternal grandfather, Larry Rayhill, of Elkhart, IN; nieces and nephews, Anthony, Callie, Kisten, Kade, and Sawyer; aunts, uncles, Rick Watson (Darci), Ronnie Watson (Mollie), Katie Watson (Aaron), Kevin Rayhill (Katrina), Maria Eagleton (Chad); and his best friend, Chris Sullivan, of Bedford; many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandma, Deloris Nicholson and a nephew, Bearett Richardson.

Wilbern Eugene Terrell, 83, of Bedford, passed away Saturday.
Born June 27, 1938, in Huron, he was the son of Wilbern Harrison and Alma B. (Williams) Terrell. He married Sara Lee Trueblood on April 6, 1957, and she preceded him in death on November 5, 2018.
He was a graduate of Huron High School with the class of 1956. He worked in the stone trade starting in the early 1960’s as a Planerman. He was a proud member of the Journeymen Stonecutters Association of Indiana where he was elected as president serving numerous stone mills in Bedford, Oolitic and Bloomington.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Love (Larry), Julie Terrell and Kristy Terrell, all of Bedford; a step-grandson, Jason Love, of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sara, a daughter, Cathy, and a brother, John Terrell.
Private graveside services were conducted in Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor Dirus Dustin officiating.

James E. Craig age 80 of Bedford passed away at 4:14 Pm on Thursday February 10, 2022 at his residence.
He was born in Lawrence County on April 20, 1941 to Harold and Lucille (Pruett) Craig. Jim married Patricia Kopsho on July 11, 1964 in Bedford and she survives.
Jim was a retired Die Setter at General Motors in Bedford retiring in 2002, he was a member of the Indiana National Guard, St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Bedford and the U.A.W. Local #440 in Bedford, he was a graduate of Needmore High School.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Craig of Bedford; son, James (Lana) Craig of Bedford; daughter, Stacia Innamorati of Springville; grandson, Tyler Craig of Florida; brother, Gary (Bonnie) Craig of Peerless; sister, Martha Hollars of Bedford.
James was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Darren Lee Craig, one sister, Linda Corbin and one brother, Larry Craig.
Cremation was chosen, with private family services in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.

Born July 1, 1927, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Leonard L. and Ruth (Watson) McPike. She married Wayne Edward Meadows on March 20, 1946, and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1986. She was a homemaker and member of the Judah Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Phil Meadows and wife, Pam and Paul Meadows (Leatrice); two daughters, Shirley Brown and Sheila Flynn; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Charles McPike (in infancy), William McPike, Merle McPike, and Eli Warren McPike; a granddaughter, Brittany Meadows.

Sylvia Micaela (Mickey) Garza Idrogo met her loving husband Samuel on God’s celestial shore on February 1st of 2022 where they rejoiced in the presence of angels celebrating their reunion.
Sylvia was born on January 7th of 1938 to Ricardo and Adela Garza in Laredo, Texas. She married Samuel Idrogo on January 25th of 1959 and they enjoyed nearly 58 years together until the passing of her husband in 2017. They were high school sweet hearts. Samuel and Sylvia raised 6 children and nurtured them with love, security and many wonderful childhood memories.
Sylvia was known for her love and generosity to others. She was “Mom” by many and she never turned anyone away for a warm meal or a kind word. Her heart was genuinely one of kindness and love which was etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
Sylvia loved spending time with her family especially during our annual family coastal vacations. She loved playing cards & games and thoroughly enjoyed dancing and listening to music. Mom was known for her well-cooked steaks and her passion for cooking was loved by all. Her gift of special recipes will continue to live on.
Surviving are her children, Inez (Rick) Yaney, Samuel (Peggy) Idrogo Jr., Yvette (Tim) Manning, Michael Idrogo, Sandra (Brian) Winter, Richard Idrogo; Siblings, Yolanda Trevino, Araceli Cavazos, Imelda Esquenazi, Olga Nella Ramirez, Adela Garcia, Sandra Alvarez, Jorge Garza; 13 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Born December 14, 1957, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Cletus Dale Root and Rosalie (Corey) Busch. She married Art Miller on September 20, 1986, and he survives.
She was an assembler/tester at Visteon. She was a member of the Mundell Christian Church where she was responsible for organizing funeral dinners complete with her famous ham. She was an Oolitic Bearcat and loving wife, mom, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Art, of Bedford; three children, Kristen (Arthur) O’Brien, Brandon Miller, and Max Miller; three grandchildren, Jarrett Fortner, Josie O’Brien, and Avery O’Brien; two brothers, Tim Root, Sr. and Charlie Root; her mother, Rosalie Busch and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and step-father, Bill Busch.

Survivors include two daughters, Rennah White of Bloomington, and Tammy Chandler and her husband Curtis of Bedford; a son, Kevin Hearth of Oolitic; grandchildren, Jessica Chapman, R.J. Rhodes, Haley Chandler, Wesley Hearth, Nathaniel Hearth; four great grandchildren, Konnor James Grubb, Gracie Lynn White, Emberlynn Chapman, and Raelynn Simpson; her sisters, Gladys Blake, and Martha Howard, a sister-in-law, Ann Andis, and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Arnold

Dorothy Arnold, 90, passed away February 10, 2022.
She was was born in Clarksville, Arkansas, on March 2, 1931. The daughter of Thomas H. and Ruby Lillian Harvey Griffin, she was the tenth of eleven children. She married George L. Arnold in Puxico, Missouri, on August 28, 1954. He proceeded her in death on January 20, 1994.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a partner to her husband in his construction business for many years. In her later years, she worked for Dunn Hospital as a switchboard operator, retiring in 2009. Dorothy was well known around town for her bread. Her grandson’s dubbed it Nani Bread and others called it Dorothy Bread. She loved nothing better than baking and giving away numerous loaves over 30 plus years.
Dorothy is survived by her three children, Marilee Arnold, Larry (Karen) Arnold and Martha Arnold-Turner, all of Bedford. She is survived by five grandsons, Nicholas (Jessica) Arnold of Dayton, Ohio, Ryan (Trisha) Turner of Bedford, Gregory (Chiharu) Arnold of Las Vegas, Nevada, Timothy Arnold of Bedford and Stephen (Gabi) Arnold of Bedford. She is survived by six great grandchildren, Lydia and Addison Collins and Bayne Arnold, all of Dayton, Ohio, Maxwell Turner of Bedford, Curtis Arnold of Las Vegas, Nevada, Anthony Maldonado of Bedford, and Wesley Arnold who will join the family in July. Dorothy is also survived by her sister, Jean Sanders Roberts of Bedford and her sisters-in-law, Sue Ryan Griffin of Bedford and Lola Griffin of Puxico, Missouri. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and six brothers and three sisters. She was a longtime member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Brother Tim Sumpter and Brother Martin Lamb officiating. Bryan Keith Guthrie, 59, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at his residence, surrounded by family after a brave battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
He was born August 29, 1962, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Arthur and Patricia (Woods) Guthrie. He was engaged to Dana Carie, of Vincennes.
Bryan graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School, was a general contractor and the minister of Midtown Church of Christ.
Surviving Bryan is his fiancé, Dana Carie; daughter, Natasha (David) Hains; son, Jeffrey Guthrie; parents, Arthur and Patricia Guthrie; three granddaughters, Mazzy, Eliza and Vivian; one sister, Mary (fiancé, John Finn) Burton; niece, Lacey Guthrie; aunt and uncle, Paul and Debbie Guthrie; aunt, Kay Norris; uncle, Walter Norris; cousins, Amy and Clint Norris and several other cousins; and his beloved dog, Snoopy.

Dane William Matthew, 32, of Orleans, passed away on February 12, 2022.
He was born April 3, 1989 in Bedford, IN, the son of John William and Susan Lynn (Neal) Matthew.
He worked at Granite Inliner in Orleans. He graduated from Orleans High School, class of 2007. Dane enjoyed spending time with family especially his nephew, Cole.
He is survived by his parents of Orleans; one sister, Danielle (Andrew) Bailey of Mitchell; four nieces and nephews, Cole Elliott, Kadence, Brayden and Farrah Bailey; paternal grandparents, John and Norma Matthew of Orleans and maternal grandmother, Sue Neal of Orleans.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jim Neal.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

William “Bill” Penn, 94, of Orleans, passed away at 3:20 AM on February 12, 2022 at his home.
He was born May 3, 1927 in Orleans, IN, the son of Earl and Blanche (Dillard) Penn. He married Martha (Pittman) Penn on April 12, 1952 and she survives.
He worked at Carpenter Body Works in Mitchell for many years and enjoyed farming. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Bill was a long time member of the Syria Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of Orleans; four children, Lynn (Mark) Killiam of Florida, Billy Joe Penn of Orleans, Sue (Kenny) Mack of Orleans and John Penn of Orleans; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, William “Boney” Runyon; one son, Kevin Mark Penn; one brother, Jack Penn and one grandson, Eric Jason Lawyer.
The funeral will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans, with Reverend Jimmy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Syria Cemetery, Orleans.

Virginia Blanche White, 77, of Bedford passed away at 1:00pm on Friday, February 11, 2022, at the I.U. Health Bedford Hospital with her loving children by her side.
Born February 20, 1944, in Columbus, IN, she was the daughter of Lester and Franklyn (Hendrix) Sweeney. She retired from General Electric, as an assembly worker, and had also worked for M.Fine and Sons. Virginia was a member of the Erie United Methodist Church.
Survivors include, a son, Jerry White, and his wife Angie of Indianapolis, a daughter, Stacey Moore, and her husband Brian of Bedford; grandchildren, Macey Moore, Keira White, Justin White, and Christopher Moore; a sister, Carol Ellis of Washington, IN, and a brother, Doug Sweeney of Bedford, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Anita Hammond, and her beloved dog Bridgett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Erie United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15th and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Born September 7, 1992, he was the son of Timothy and Catherine (Terry) Bowman. He was a wonderful dad and had a great heart. He loved the outdoors and was a good friend, and was there for anyone.

Larry Dean Dixon, 77, of Mitchell passed away at 11:28 P.M. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 3, 1944, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Otis Dixon and Roxy Irene (York) Russell. He married Barbara Ikerd on February 25, 1972, and she preceded him in death on September 15,2004.
Larry retired from Lehigh Cement Company after 42 years of service, in his time at Lehigh he worked as a Locomotive Engineer, worked in the quarry, and had been the union president for 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving two tours during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Freetown Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Freetown, IN.
Survivors include his son, Aaron Dixon and his girlfriend, Heather Woods of Bedford, and a granddaughter Alecea Clendening of Bloomington, two sisters, Dora Wittmer of Evansville, and Becky Crosby of Mitchell; four brothers: Phil Dixon and wife Susan of Oolitic, Mike Russell of Bedford, Jack Russell of North Vernon, and Roger Russell and wife Sharon of Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two sisters, Della Knight, and Patty Alberts: three brothers, Marvin Dixon, Jim Russell, and Brian Russell in infancy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Tim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Born November 14, 1936, in Salem, he was the son of Paul and Pauline (Myers) Shoults. He married Rebecca Reid June 29, 1956.
Leroy retired from Jefferson Trucking and had also been employed at Russell Trucking and Mitchell Transport. He loved still board shooting, fishing, mowing, and caring for his grandkids. Leroy had been affiliated with the Mt. Carmel Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Shoults of Mitchell; children, Michael Lee (Ann) Shoults of Paoli, Aaron Trent (Kim) Shoults of Mitchell, Darron Brent (Crystal) Shoults of Loogootee, Heidi Johanna (Toby) King of Mitchell; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Dwight Shoults of Campbellsburg, Betty Roll of Pekin.

Born May 12, 1942 in Salem, she was the daughter of Lester and Ruby (Matthew) Hauger. She married Thomas Cecil Case March 10, 1962 and he preceded her in death January 12, 2022.
Janice was a homemaker and worked 13 years for Orange County REMC. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, and oil painting. Janice restored antique furniture and did some upholstering. She was a member of the Orleans Church of Christ and graduated from Salem High School in 1960.
Surviving are her children, Marsha (Eric Hooper) Wolf of Madison, Wisconsin, Lanny (Deanna) Case of Orleans, Rebecca (Tharon) Hall of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Leah (Justin) Jones, Isaac Hall, Jeremiah Hall, Priscilla Hall, Elizabeth Case, and Steven Case; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Danny (Pat) Hauger of Salem, Randy (Linda) Hauger of Salem.
Her parents and husband preceded her in death.

Roy E. Tarr age 84 of Bedford passed away on Thursday February 10, 2022 at 6:28 pm at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in Bedford on April 1, 1937 to Eddie Tarr and Edith (Dixon) Tarr. Roy married Jean Phipps on November 7, 1959 at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Bedford and she survives.
Roy was a retired Electrician at General Motors in Bedford, retiring in 2000, he was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local #16 in Evansville, was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1955, and a US Marine Corps veteran serving from 1955-1959, he was a longtime member of Otis Park Golf Course.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Tarr of Bedford; three children, Cheryl (Alan) Gross of Bedford, Tommy (Kim) Tarr of Jeffersonville, and Susan (Dustin) Davidson of Salem; seven grandchildren, Emily (Evan) Thompson of Ft. Wayne, Nathan (Cassidy) Gross of Bedford, Derek Gross of Bedford, Joshua (Elizabeth) Tarr of Louisville, Connor Davidson, Lauren Davidson, and Olivia Davidson; two great grandchildren, Finley Roy Tarr of Louisville and Eleanor Jean Thompson of Ft. Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Frances Ray; three brothers, William “Bud” Tarr, Bob Tarr, and Don Tarr.

Russell Eugene Moore, 90, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born on February 13, 1931, he was the son of Earl Moore and Dorval (Butcher) Moore. He married Marilyn Elaine Parker on April 6, 1984 and she preceded him in death on November 20, 2005.
Russell was a Handyman and he enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Surviving Russell is his daughter, Ramona and husband Dale Swango of Bedford; two grandchildren, Robert Atkins of Jeffersonville and Brandy Atkins of Bedford; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Chloe Atkins, both of Bedford; two brothers, Ralph and wife Sharon Moore of Bedford, and Raymond and wife Tona Moore of Bloomington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Russell in death are his wife, Marilyn; parents, Earl and Dorval Moore; along with his brothers and sisters, Wanda Moore, Bob Moore, Wilma Jean, and Richard Moore.

Willie “Howard” Shuler, 88, of Orleans, passed away at 12:45 AM on February 7, 2022 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
He was born March 14, 1933 in Keokee, Virginia, the son of Willie S. and Margaret (Campbell) Shuler. He married Jewell (Eagle) Shuler on December 26, 1952 and she preceded him in death on April 23, 2015.
He worked as a security guard at General Motors for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Meyer of Orleans; two grandchildren, Danie Meyer-Parlapanis and Matthew Meyer; two great grandchildren, Theron John Meyer and Ianthe Jewel; one sister, Mary Wanda Williams and one brother, Terrill Shuler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and two brother, Curt and John Shuler.

Dorothy “Dottie” Wray Adamson died at 12:06 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at I. U. Hospice House, Bloomington.
Born December 23, 1928, in Bedford, Indiana, she was the daughter of Lela (Speer) and Dillen Wray. She was married to Robert H. Adamson, and he preceded her in death. She graduated from Bedford High School, Class of 1947.
In addition to being a homemaker and raising four daughters, Dottie worked several years at the Lawrence County Auditor’s Office. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ. She resided at Johnson Christian Village for the last five years of her life. She loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dottie was a whiz at Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
Surviving are three daughters, Cassandra Gould, Greenwood; Susan (Jim) Silver, Ft. Wayne; and Evalyn Walton, Mitchell; son-in-law, Rick Robbins, Leesburg, FL; seven grandchildren, Carrie (Brandon) Davidson, Matthew (Ashley) Gould, Megan Robbins, Bryana (Telly) Glass, Daniel (Kristi) Walton, Hannah (Jarrod) Pickel and Benjamin Silver; eight great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Sanford Wray; four sisters, Evalou Porter, Evalyn McCoy, Callie Southern and June Childers; one daughter, Deborah Robbins; and two sons-in-law, Mike Gould and David Walton.

Ginger Allison (East) Sowders, 50, passed away at 7:03 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Ginger was born on September 30, 1971, in Bloomington IN. She is the daughter of Robert George East, Jr. and Donna June (Sowders) East. She married the love of her life, Brett Sowders on May 9, 1996. She graduated from Bloomington High School South and earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University.
At the age of 25, Ginger’s kidney failed and she needed a transplant. Her brother, Robert (Bob) East, stepped up and donated one of his and saved her life.
Despite her health issues, Ginger was a force of nature. She had a love of life and an ability to make even little things more fun. Ginger was a smart, wise and caring person who loved her family, friends and her animals. She had a close-knit group of lifelong friends. Her greatest joy was being married to Brett and watching their beautiful daughter Shelby grow up.
Survivors include her husband, Brett Sowders; her daughter Shelby; her parents George and Donna East; her brother Robert (Bob) East and wife Karen; her sister Jennifer Battaglia and her husband Marc; nieces and nephews, John East and wife Kedzie, Rachel East, Rob East, Heather East, Grace Battaglia and Anna Battaglia; mother-in-law, Pam Sitzes and husband, Glen; her sister-in-law Ginger Harrington and husband Jessie; and her step-mother-in-law, Mary Sowders.

Born June 28, 1977, in Bedford, he was the son of Debbie Earl. He married Aubrey Pruett on August 22, 2015, and she survives.
He was a production worker at GeoFlo for many years and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, camping, UK basketball, Cubs baseball. He loved spending time with his family and friends and coaching his son at baseball. He loved and adored his wife and children. He was a big cut-up and enjoyed life.

Malon “Carroll” Sneed, 71, of Mitchell, passed away at 11:18 pm on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at his residence.
Born August 17, 1950, in Glasgow, KY, he was the son of Malon Arvest Sneed and Mary Frances (Priest) Garrett. He married Sandi Neill on June 17, 2009, and she survives.
He retired as a factory worker and was a horse trainer, rodeo rider, and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Vietnam and a member of the Mitchell V.F.W. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Campbellsburg where he served as a deacon and song leader.
Survivors include his wife, Sandi, of Mitchell; a son, Daryll Sneed, of Pekin, IN; granddaughters, Megan (Kyle) and Shelbi; great-grandchildren, Brilyn, Westyn, Walker, Olivia, and Parker; a sister, Terry and a brother, Gilbert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jimmy and two sisters, Brenda and Sherry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 10th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Martie Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by members of the Cecil Martin Post #250 American Legion. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the mortuary.

Richard Neal “Dick” Tardy

Richard Neal “Dick” Tardy passed away on February 4th, 2022, at the age of 84, in his hometown of Bloomington, Indiana.
His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite his obstacles, Dick remained a hero, and stayed strong until the very end.
He was born in Madison, Indiana on December 19th, 1937, to Medney Eugene and Marian Lucille (Horning) Tardy. He graduated from Bloomington High School in 1956 and went on to attend General Motors Institute of Technology (Kettering University) graduating in 1961 with a BS in Industrial Engineering. Dick later obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration from Ball State University in 1988.
In 1961, Dick married his best friend since 8th grade, Rosanne Zink Tardy. They had three children, Richard Kevin Tardy, Gregory Scott Tardy and Amy Christine (Tardy) Schmahl. Dick and Rosanne were an inseparable team for over 60 years.
Dick spent most of his career working in plant management for the General Motors Corporation in Bedford, IN, Danville, IL, Defiance, OH, and Saginaw, MI. He also worked as general manager for Tyco Industries at their plant in Statesboro, GA and was an adjunct professor for the Georgia Southern University School of Management. Dick ended his career as an independent consultant for the State of Georgia in industry and business development.
Dick had a strong belief in involvement in the communities in which he lived. He served as a United Way County Chairman, on the local Boy Scouts of America Executive Council, the local Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and was an active member of the Kiwanis Club and Power Squadron. Dick served the youth of Bedford, IN as a dedicated and passionate Cub Master of a local Cub Scout pack.
Dick had a passion for music and was blessed with a beautiful voice. He shared his talent by singing in his church choir in all his communities. His love of vocal harmony was expressed as a tenor in a barbershop quartet, and as a baritone in a barbershop chorus. He also enjoyed playing roles in community theater musical productions.
Dick’s love of IU athletics was infectious. Some of the fondest memories of his family and friends are watching IU games with Dick, whether in the family room, at five Final Fours, most of Indiana’s bowl games or a “regular game” at Assembly Hall or Memorial Stadium. Perhaps one of Dick’s favorite activities was an Indiana University football tailgate. The world stopped for an IU game.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Jerry F. Tardy, and his brother-in-law, Jerry L. Zink.
He is survived by his wife Rosanne Zink Tardy, son Richard (Kathryn) Tardy (Noblesville, IN), son Gregory (Sun-Nita) Tardy (Summerfield, NC), daughter Amy (Stephen) Schmahl (Centennial, CO), grandchildren Neal (Betsy) Tardy, Logan Tardy, Grace (Xavier) Willke, Henry Tardy, Emily Schmahl, Sarah Schmahl, and David Schmahl, and brother Medney Eugene (Martha) Tardy, Jr., M.D., and sister Nancy Suzanne Tardy (Howard) Maxwell.
The family will have a private service, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering this spring. Memorial contributions may be made in Dick’s name to BrightFocus Foundation for Macular Degeneration Research.

James “Jim” Edward Bullock, 89, a resident of Oolitic for 54 years, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Autumn Trace Bedford Assisted Living.
He was born July 20, 1932, in Bedford, to Ivan and Cletis Lewis Bullock. He was married to Sally Drehobl for 60 years and she survives.
Jim graduated from Bedford High School with the class of 1951, excelling in sports. He served in the U. S. Navy for four years on the USS Iowa as a Boiler Tender. He became a gifted tool maker and was employed by Crane. He was also an extraordinary woodworker. The family has benefitted from his woodworking skills with many beautiful pieces of furniture.
Jim was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
Surviving to cherish Jim’s memory is his wife, Sally of Oolitic; sons, Mike (Denise) and Mark (Rita), both of Brownsburg, and Kevin (Kathleen) of Oolitic; grandchildren, Katie (Dan) of Evansville, Leah of Indianapolis, Nathan of Chicago, Kristine of Plainfield, Rich of Brownsburg and Sarah and Olivia of Oolitic.
Preceding Jim in death were his parents; and sister, Joanne Boling.
A private funeral service will be held for the family.

Albert had been employed by the City of Mitchell and worked for the street department. He was a former member of the Salvation Army.

Shirley Ann Pinnick, 73, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 18, 1948, in Champaign, Illinois, she was the daughter of George A. and Shirley Elizabeth (Sego) Gilstrap. She married Thomas Walter Pinnick August 19, 1967.
Shirley retired from Travelplex SATO at NSWC—Crane. She was a talented cake decorator and created silk wreaths. Shirley was an avid reader and loved nothing more than family gatherings. She was a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church and a 1967 graduate of Bedford High School.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Pinnick of Bedford; sons, Thomas Scott (Lana) Pinnick of Bloomfield, Bradley Dean (Angye) Pinnick of Mitchell; mother, Shirley Gilstrap of Bedford; grandchildren, Britney Nicole, Kayla Jean, Marrissa Jo, Thomas Keith, Wesley Dean, Brooke Lee-Anna, and Justin (Carrie) Bennett; great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Harper, Atlas, Luke, and Hannah; sister, Ruthie Gilstrap of Mitchell; brother-in-law, Mike Tanksley of Bedford; blessed with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and several cousins.
Her father and twin sister, Sharon Lee Tanksley (8-4-2020), preceded her in death.

Donald E. Blackburn age 85 of Bedford passed away on February 4, 2022 at 9:52 Am at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born on January 19, 1937 in Bedford to Cyrus Vern Blackburn and Mabel D. (Fortner) Blackburn. Donald married Rita Mood on June 29, 1958 at the First Presbyterian Church in Bedford and she survives.
Donald was a retired Industrial Arts teacher having taught at Orleans, Fayetteville, Oolitic and BNL Schools, he was also a Dairy Farmer, he was the Co-owner of the Dairy Barn in Bedford and Blackburn’s Victorian House of Brides in Bedford, he was member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford, he enjoyed spending time in Florida for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Blackburn of Bedford, two sons, Donald (Deanne) Blackburn II of Bedford and Darak (Kathy) Blackburn of Bedford, one brother, Russell (Marilyn) Blackburn of Bedford, five grandchildren, Jenna (Alex) Frist of Zionsville, Lauren (David) Lewis of Bedford, Chase (Brooke) Blackburn of Bedford, Chandler (Emily) Blackburn of Bedford, and Camryn (Isaac) Fender of Bedford, four great grandchildren, Maverick and Dexter Lewis of Bedford, and Whitaker and Estee’ Frist of Zionsville.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Doris Fountain and Ruth Emmert.

Born May 21, 1953, in Bedford, he was the son of Merlin and Imogene (Rainey) Murphy. He retired as an operator from I.B.E.W. Union.

Born February 21, 1926, in Greene County, IN she was the daughter of Reese and Hazel (McCammon) Harbin. She married Hugh F. Kluesner, Jr. on June 29, 1945, and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2020. Doris was a member of the Fairview Community Church.
Survivors include three sons: Terry Kluesner and his wife Stephane of Lehigh Acres, FL, Michael Kluesner and his wife Linda of Cape Coral, FL, David Kluesner and his wife Zaiton of Cape Coral, Florida; a daughter, Laura Maxwell of Sellersburg; nine grandchildren, and nine great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and counting; a sister, Bonnie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters, Betty, Edie, Patty, and Phyllis, a brother, Gene.

Born August 5, 1934, he was the son of Orville “Buck” and Gleeda (Medlock) Arthur. He married Alma M. Sasser on August 2, 1952, and she preceded him in death on March 1, 2014.
He worked at St. Mary of the Woods College, then as distribution center manager for Elder Beerman Department Store. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Oolitic Trinity Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Jeanne Depenbrok and husband, Steve of Arizona, Melissa Hassler and husband, Don, Adam Sasser and wife, Dana, Scott Sasser and wife, Robin, and Billy Don Arthur all of Bedford; great nieces and nephews, Angel Hawkins and husband, Heath and their daughter, Lilly, Tanner Summers and John Wolff, Zach and Isaiah Sasser, Brooke Ritz, and Sadie Sasser; a brother-in-law, Alben Sasser and wife, Jonna, of Bedford. Larry A. Goforth

Larry A. Goforth, age 84, of Norman, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was a life-time member of Kurtz Church of the Nazarene, where he was involved with Sunday School and the church youth group.
Mr. Goforth worked at Cummins Engine Co. and Custom-Built Log Homes. He was a member of the United States Army from 1955 to 1959. Larry loved spending time with his family, woodworking, and fishing.
Born on May 1, 1937, in Elwood, he was the son of Lawrence and Mary Brewer Goforth, both of whom preceded him in death. On October 13, 1962, at Houston Christian Church, he married Judy Hayes and she survives in Norman.
Survivors also include one son, Brad (Sheila) Goforth of Lanesville; two daughters: Kim (Brad) Lockman of Brownstown, and Tracey (Jon) Davidson of Norman; three sisters: Joyce Barrett of Frankton, Marilyn Bond of Norman, and Norma Sanderson of Norman; 12 grandchildren: Brittany (Trent) Darlage, Bradi (Logan) Sutherland, Levi (Whitney) Goforth, Layton (Jessica) Goforth, Alex Goforth, Natalie (BJ) Hentrup, and Christopher Davidson; nine great-grandchildren: Madison Darlage, Tyson Darlage, Kasey Sutherland, Anna Sutherland, Isla Goforth, Dallas Goforth, Garrison Hentrup, Bratcher Hentrup, and Berkeley Hentrup; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chloe Davidson; two brothers: Bill Goforth and Jack Goforth; and one sister, Mary Jane Flemming.

Dennis Daniel Wray, Jr., age 38, of Bedford, Indiana passed away unexpectedly at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
Dennis was born on June 20, 1983 in Bloomington, Indiana to Dennis Wray, Sr. and Janice (Harris) Wray.
Dennis was a graduate of Bloomington High School South, Class of 2002 where he proudly played for the Panther football team and received many awards for his accomplishments. Dennis married his best friend, soulmate, and the love of his life Kendra Nichole (Marlow) Wray on September 1st 2012. They have 6 children (3 sons and 3 daughters) that they devoted their life each and every day to with love and passion. Always planning and preparing for the future, Dennis spent lots of time at Lowe’s shopping for tools and materials for his favorite hobby, house renovation projects. The family enjoyed working together to build their dreams.
AKA, Chef Boyar “D” was his nickname as he found a new talent and love for cooking for his family as he always said “to love is to serve”! Dennis was devoted to teaching his children many life skills, but nothing more than knowing Christ and possessing servant leadership. He loved to show off his profound knowledge of the Bible, world history, world geography, and his insane knowledge of Marvel comics.
He had a special place in his heart for all his military brothers and sisters that he also called friends and all of his friends he worked with at Victor/Indiana Limestone prior to his military service. He loved nothing more than loving, protecting, serving, and providing for all.
Due to his love for his country, Dennis enlisted in the military at the late age of 34, in September of 2017. His inspiration came from his sons who serve in the Air Force and Army, and his friend and CSM Richard Joyce. Dennis was an AGR soldier with duties at Joint Forces Headquarters, Indiana Army National Guard in Indianapolis. He has been posthumously promoted to Staff Sergeant, Dennis D. Wray.
Dennis is survived by wife, Kendra (Marlow) Wray, children, Hannah Wray, Gabriella Wray, Charlize Wray, Jakeb (Daisy) Taylor, Chancellor (Skylar) Taylor, and Ayden Hostetter. Grandchild due in September, 2022 of Jakeb (Daisy) Taylor. Parents, Dennis and Janice Wray, Mother and Father-in-Law, Pamela and Thomas Marlow. Siblings, Christina (Clint) Rollins, Tammy (Rob) Case, Travis (Audrey) Wray. Sister-in-law, Serina Lacefield and brother-in-law, Kenneth Marlow. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Dennis was preceded in death by Maternal grandparents (Dewey and Betty Harris), Paternal grandparents (Leabert Wray and Betty Gentry). As well as several Uncles.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, February 7th, and from 12:00 pm until 1:00 PM on Tuesday February 8th, both at Lifeway Baptist Church, 7821 State Road 46 Ellettsville, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on February 8th at Lifeway Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Greene County Chapel Cemetery. Pastor Steve VonBokern will officiate.

Jerry L. Williams, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away January 30, 2022.
He was born October 14, 1934 in Mitchell, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Leola Smith Williams. Jerry was a 1953 graduate of Mitchell High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for two years where he served as an aide to General William Westmoreland.
Jerry married Eva “Joann” Carter, July 8, 1955, and she preceded him in death July 4, 2011.
Jerry was employed for 35 years with The Associates Financial Services which then merged with CitiBank, shortly before his retiring October 12, 2001. He was a former member of 1st Christian Church and Mitchell Church of Christ, and a current member of Eastside Church of Christ in Indianapolis.
Visitation will be Friday, February 11, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Gary Coles, Pastor of Eastside Church of Christ, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 East Washington Street. Born January 14, 1947, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Opal Ray and Luella (Walton) Webb. He married Janie Leigh Reynolds on February 8, 1964, and she preceded him in death on November 1, 2015. He later married Rebecca Melanie Brewer on May 26, 2016, and she preceded him in death on February 22, 2018.
He was a college graduate with 2 Bachelor’s degrees and a Masters’ degree. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army after 26 years of service. He served in the Infantry and was an Airborne Paratrooper. He was awarded multiple Bronze Stars and Purple Hearts, Master Blaster, Meritorious Service Medal, Vietnam Services Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, Expert Infantryman Badge, Ranger Tab, and various other badges and ribbons. He worked in stone mills, Eli Lilly Corp., Carpenter Bus Mfg., as well as safety inspector for various companies throughout Ohio and for Walmart.
Survivors include children, Russell Erin Webb, of Fishers, IN, Giuseppina A. Bartlett, of Conway, Ark, Franco K. Webb, of Fayetteville, NC, Jay D. Webb, of Bedford, and Andrew R. Webb, of Ohio; grandchildren, Megan Webb, Jessica Webb, Gunnar Bartlett, Brynna Webb, Kieran Webb, Benjamin Webb, Amanda Turner, John Webb, Kaiden and Chloe Ketchum; a great-grandchild, Keelan Webb; a brother, Ronnie Webb and his wife Lou, of Oolitic; a sister, Marsha Enochs and husband, Rick, of Oolitic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and both wives.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Friday, February 11th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. A rosary service will follow at 10:30 am and a funeral mass will be at 11:00 am with Father Jegan and Deacon Dave officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery where military rites will be accorded.

Jacqueline Sue Dalton passed away on Feb 1, 2022, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 16, 1952, in Rensselaer, IN, to Frank and Violet (Jones) Neal. Jacque later married Paul Dalton on July 10, 1970.
Jacque (or Grammy, as she was most fondly remembered), was her grandchildren’s biggest fan at sporting events and anything they were involved in. She enjoyed hosting summer pool parties with family and friends at the Dalton Cement Pond. She delighted in sleepovers with her grandkids, Black Friday shopping with her girls and spoiling the kids with way too many Christmas presents. She enjoyed tending her flowers, reading and made the best persimmon pudding. She attended Bethel United Methodist Church and enjoyed the Sunday Night Bible Study there.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, of Washington, IN; their three children, all of Washington, IN; a son, Shannon (Kerri) Dalton; daughter, Angela (Eric) Bass; and daughter, Amber (Gary Allison) Traylor. The light of her life, her six grandchildren; Faith Dalton, Jacob Traylor, Madelyn Dalton, Ryley Traylor, Connor Bass and Kendall Bass; Half-Sister, Avis (Harry) Ramsey of Bedford, IN: and her nieces and nephews, and Jacque’s “partner in crime” and closest friend, Barbara (Richard) Sapp.
Jacque was preceded in death by both of her parents, Frank (1978) and Violet (2010); brothers, all of Bedford, IN, Robert Frank (Rock) Neal, Ralph D. Neal, and half-brother, William Neal; Nieces, Sandy (Neal) McFarlan, Bedford, IN, and Jeanne Neal, Indianapolis, IN.

Born September 30, 1957, in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Susan J. (Helton) Dugger.
He was a retired toolmaker from Visteon Corporation in Bedford, after 25 years, had been a resident of Lawrence County since 1987, formerly of Washington County and he loved horse racing, casinos and riding motorcycles.

Margot Brandenburg Jones, 69, of Bedford passed away Friday January 28, 2022, in Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 15, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Sharon Roberts Hatcher and the late Donald Gene Brandenburg.
Margot graduated from Lasseter High School in Macon, GA in 1970 and continued her studies at Georgia Southern University.
Margot’s artistic creativity and genuine persona led her to a career in photography. Margot quickly made a name for herself at Olan Mills, earning her the position of District Manager for the greater Atlanta region.
Margot is survived by her two daughters and son in-laws; Kelly E. and Brad D. Buice, of Heltonville; Lindsey P. and Tommy R. Dean Jr of Bloomington; her youngest brother Michael Brandenburg and wife Belinda Brandenburg of Arizona; and her four grandchildren Kaity E. Buice of Springville; Harper P. Dean, Tucker R. Susan A. Brock, 87, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Westview Manor in Bedford.
Born March 3, 1934 in Silverville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Claude Dale Canada and Mary Canada Craig. She married Robert Eugene Brock on April 29, 1950, and he preceded her in death.
Susan was a housewife and attended Fayetteville High School. She was a member of the Silverville Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing and homemaking in general.

Veneita Gail (Thomas) Richards, 84, passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on January 30, 2022.
She was born in Springville, Indiana on September 3, 1937 to Rolla Athol Thomas and Hallie Christine (Terrell) Thomas, and they preceded her in death. She married John D. Richards 61 years ago on November 23, 1960.
She was a 1954 graduate of Mitchell High School and a 1958 graduate of Indiana University. Her first teaching position was in Michigan City, Indiana. Her next teaching position was at Lincoln Elementary School in Bedford, Indiana. She then taught for Mitchell Community Schools at Riley, Emerson, Huron, Hatfield Elementary, and Burris Elementary. She taught Kindergarten for most of those years, retiring in 1997 after 35 years of teaching. She was a lifelong member of Jacob Finger United Methodist Church in Mitchell, Indiana where she played the organ for 64 years.
Gail was known to her family as Mom, Mam-maw, Mam, and Aunt Gail. She and her husband, together with God, created a big, loving family. She always faced life with strength, grace, and dignity, and shared the gift of music and creativity with her family. She loved and accepted everyone exactly for who they were, and always thought the best of everyone.
She is survived by her husband John, a brother and sister-in law: Stephen and Anita Thomas; two other sisters-in-law: Nicki Thomas and Linda Richards; four children: Lee (Brad) Purlee, Bedford, IN; Johnny Richards, Scotland, IN; Christy (Hank) Wintczak, Mitchell, IN; David Richards, Scotland, IN; ten grandchildren: Elizabeth (Chris) Hathaway, Dr. John Purlee, Dr. Ann (Michael Blum) Herbert, Dr. Audrey (Dr. Rebecca Evans) Herbert, Megan Wintczak, Brittany (Dr. Jamie Pitts) Purlee, Dr. David (Jordyn) Wintczak, Hallie Richards, Maddie Richards, and Abbie Richards; five great grandchildren: Kaylee, Jack, Max, and Tate Hathaway, Alma Herbert, and Baby Blum due this spring. Gail is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Rolla Athol “Buddy” Thomas, and a great grandson, Noah Wintczak.
Due to concerns about COVID and the safety of friends and extended family, the service was limited to immediate family. The service, officiated by Pastor Pam Tedrow, was conducted at Jacob Finger United Methodist Church in Mitchell, Indiana with final resting place at Cresthaven Memorial Gardens in Bedford, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials can be directed to Jacob Finger United Methodist Church. The family would also love and appreciate any stories or remembrances be mailed to the church at 139 North 8th Street, Mitchell, IN 47446 in care of Gail Richards’ Family.

Sara Nell Knight, 89, of Orleans, passed away at 8:21 PM on January 30, 2022 at her home.
She was born May 26, 1932 in Orleans, IN, the daughter of James and Martha (Holt) Roberson. She married Elmo Knight on August 31, 1951 and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2016.
She was a member of the Orleans Christian Church and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, were she was the choir leader for many years, she loved singing. She retired from NSWC Crane after 37 years of employment. She enjoyed walks at Spring Mill, reading, square dancing, loved musicals and was in Oklahoma and Fiddler on the Roof with Orange County players.
Sara enjoyed traveling with Elmo. She was blessed with loving caregivers, Tammie Hollis, Jodie Campbell, Tara Kern and Robin Wilson.
She is survived by five sons, David (Carolyn) Knight of Orleans; Howard (Jamie) Knight of Hardinsburg, IN; Lewis (Grace) Knight of Orleans, Ivan (Shannon) Knight of Orleans, IN, Tracy Knight of Garner, NC; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three siblings, Jack, Sandra and Angie.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Jim and one grandson, Christopher.
The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans with Rev. Robert Martindale officiating. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery, Orleans.
Friends are invited to visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.

Julie graduated from Bedford-North Lawrence High School, class of 1984, was a beautician and of the Christian faith.
Surviving to cherish Julie’s memory are her parents; daughter, Jasmine (Justin) Perry; son, Dalton Valencia; grandchildren, Braxton and Caroline; brother, Brian Scott; and maternal grandmother, Dorothy Riggs.
Preceding Julie in death were her maternal grandfather, Roy Riggs; and paternal grandparents, Royer and Hazel Scott.

Fish-Stroud, all of Bedford; grandchildren, McKinzie, Leo, Morgan, Logan, Malloree, Emmalee, Elijah, Madilyn, Donald, and Wesley; a brother, Rusty Collier, of Bedford; her mother, Carroll McCullough, of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Collier, and a grandson, Dason Isaiah.

Born August 20, 1942, in Bargersville, he was the son of Roy and Carman McCullough. He married Sharon Chapman and she preceded him in death on January 31, 2014. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked at General Motors and the Highway Department. He retired from RCA and was a member of the Southland Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Leslie McCullough, of Oolitic; a brother, Albert McCullough, of Mitchell.

Casey Lee Wright

Casey Lee Wright, 66, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at his residence.
Born August 6, 1955, in Gary, he was the son of George Elmer and Nora Elizabeth (Tincher) Wright. He married Linda Faye Triplett in March of 1988.
Casey had been employed at Indiana Limestone and was a 1973 graduate of Mitchell High School. He was a good cook and enjoyed fishing, planting flowers, and was an avid gardener. Casey collected arrowheads, fossils, and artifacts, and loved to ride motorcycles.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Wright of Huron; sons, Tyler Dalton Wright of Mitchell, Travis Dean Wright of Huron; sisters, Sally Ann Lewis of Bedford, Judy Kay Todd of Mitchell.
His parents preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen.
A celebration of life will be at a later date with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Born March 30, 1930, in Orleans, he was the son of Wilbur Glenn and Wilma (McCart) Magner.
He retired from Mitchell Transport and was a farmer. Bill was a member of Fishing Creek Chapel and White River Valley Antique Association.
Surviving are his children, Peggy Ann (Mike) Corbett of Corydon, Jackie Sue (Steve) Hammack of Corydon, Dennis William (Sandra) Magner of Orleans, Terry Ray (Sharon) Magner of Orleans, Mac William (April) Magner of Bedford; stepchildren, Ronald Scott (Lisa) Cole of Bedford, Deborah Jo (Bob) Lewis of Bloomington; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Magner of Corydon, Harold Magner of Ellettsville, Wendell Magner of Peoria, Illinois.
His parents; companion, Betty Jane Ratkovich (2-9-2019); and brother, Glenn Magner, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Kyle Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery.

Lisa Married Steve Stephens October 1, 1994. She loved to go on road trips even if it wasn’t far, dirt track racing, 4-wheeler riding, mushroom hunting, Jeepin, spending time with her kids and grandchildren, and kid rock.
Lisa is survived by her husband; her children; Jessica Watson (Joe), Mystica Kinser (Jason), Kristina Richardson (Ben), Angela Green (Brian), and Austin Stephens (Katy); her grandchildren; Jacob, Jordan, Larissa, Colton, Jacey, Braxton, Chase, Kinsley, Kamdyn, Kartyr, Kayne; brother; Keith Cobb of Bedford, sister; Karen Moore of Bloomington, Step-sister; Pamula Kinser, Sister-in-law; Bambi Lawson (Jimmy), Step-brother; Phillip Kinser Jr. and brother-in-law; Bryan Stephens (Jeanette),as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, uncle James Cobb, Aunts; Linda (Cobb) Stillions, and Jennie (Kern) Edwards.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Phil Kinser, step-brothers; Leon Kinser and Chad Kinser, Aunt, Varda “Jackie” Briscoe, father-in-law Clayton Austin Stephens and mother-in-law, Carolyn Malone.
Visitation will be before the funeral from 11 – 1pm Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington.
