Orleans American Legion Post #69 have been longtime supporters and partners with the annual Dogwood Festival. Since the early to mid-1970s Legion members have provided the carnival for the town's signature event each and every spring. In addition, the group contributes financially to the festival to help offset some of the expense of putting the nine-day event on. Shown presenting a check last week in the amount of $500 to Chamber Executive Director Robert F. Henderson (middle) is Legion members Commander Ronnie Taylor (left) and Will Terry (far right). The Legion will once again provide the Midway, Brady's Amusement, which will set up and operate the entire week of the festival as in the past.
