Bedford native and astronaut, Charles D. Walker will talk about his career as an astronaut and share scientific eclipse facts during his presentation on Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at the Eclipse Over Lawrence County event at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds in Bedford. A Purdue University graduate, this Hooser hero flew on three NASA Space Shuttle missions in the 1980s.
During his appearance and presentation at Eclipse Over Lawrence County at 11 a.m., Walker will talk about his experience on the space shuttle, explain the significance of the total solar eclipse and how to get the most out of viewing it.
