James K. Randolph

September 4, 1947 – April 28, 2023


James K. Randolph, 75, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born in Shoals, IN on September 4, 1947, he was the son of James O. Randolph and Lucille Tow. He married Linda Brinegar-Weaver in 1989, and she survives.


Jim graduated from Oolitic High School and Welding Training Center in Terre Haute. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from October of 1966 until October of 1968. He was a member of the East Oolitic Community Church and worked as a tool and die welder at G.M. Powertrain from 1981 until his retirement.


Surviving Jim is his wife, Linda; his son, James R. “J.R.” Randolph; his daughter, Danielle R. Todd; his granddaughter, Chloe Rae Todd; his sisters, Debbie (Jerry) Ritter and Sherry (Jerry) Perkins; his sister-in-law, Rita Randolph; and his mother-in-law, Sue Weaver.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Russell and Mary Tow and Elmer and Carlona Randolph; and his brother, Larry.


Funeral services for James K. Randolph will be at 11:00am Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Pastor Millard Jones Officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery with military rites being accorded by the Honor Guard of the American Legion Gillen Post 33. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 3 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.

Timothy S Boling


Timothy S Boling (52), of Bedford, Indiana, passed away on April 24, 2023. Timothy, known by many as Tim, was born on June 4, 1970, in Bedford, Indiana. Tim was the son of the late Judy Bennett Williams and John Boling.


Tim spent time at Indiana State University and went on to obtain his Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Resources from The University of Arizona. After graduating, Tim spent the next 25 years of his life living in Tucson, Arizona. His time in Tucson was often spent with his two children and tending to those in need in the Tucson community. Tim had an innate ability to care for others and often wore his heart on his sleeve.


Tim is survived by his daughter, Eliana (Daniel)Anderson, son, Jaden Boling, and granddaughter, Charlotte Anderson, all of Tucson.


He is also survived by his father, John (Carmen) Boling.


There will be a small memorial service for immediate family members held in Tucson, Arizona where Tim’s remains will be laid to rest. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.



Dora L. Sears

Dora L. Sears age 81 of Bedford passed away on Thursday April 27, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. at Westview Nursing Home & Rehabilitation in Bedford. She was born in Bedford on September 13, 1941, to John and Louise (Pelfree) Hopper. She married Donald L. Sears and he preceded her in death in 2004. She was a Cook at Westview Manor for many years.


Survivors include her brother, Robert (Laura) Hopper of Bedford, three grandchildren and one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.


Dora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children, Dwight Warren and Rebecca Treece, sister, Mary Reynolds, two brothers, John (Liz) Hopper and Tom Hopper.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at Cresthaven Funeral Home, entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at noon at the funeral home. Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.




Ricky G. “Rick” Brassine

May 6, 1958 – April 27, 2023


Bedford – Ricky G. “Rick” Brassine, 64, of Bedford, passed away at 10:35 pm, on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Westview Nursing and Rehab Center.


Born May 6, 1958, in Bedford, he was the son of Opal and Beverly (Fender) Brassine. He retired as a laborer for Indiana Limestone Co. and was a member of the Oolitic Church of Christ.


Survivors include a sister, Karen Shaw, of Loogootee; a brother, Steve Brassine and wife, Diana, of Seymour; nieces, Whitney Reed (Mitch) and Kylie Kramer (Paul); a nephew, Daygan Brassine; a great niece, Violet Reed; two great nephews, Tobias and Emmett Kramer. He was preceded in death by his parents.


Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 1st in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Ed Owens officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.

Darra Nicole (Turner) Jones

December 4, 1980 – April 24, 2023


Darra Nicole Jones of Bedford sadly passed away April 24, 2023. Darra was born December 4, 1980 to parents Jeff Turner of Bedford and Denise (Benjamin-Cain) Walker of Norman.  


Darra worked for Schulz Painting in Bloomington for many years, however that wasn’t her only occupation.  Darra was also a farmer with a love for being outdoors.  If she wasn’t at her job, she could most likely be found with her husband, Mike Jones, somewhere on their farm checking for new calves, fixing something that needed mending or simply enjoying nature.  In nature was her favorite place to be.  Having grown up with horses her whole life, she fortunately was able to spend a lot of her free time exactly where she wanted to be, from childhood on.

 

Survivors include her husband, Mike Jones of Bedford; her daughter, Madison Schulz; son, Taylor Cundiff; mother, Denise (Ron) Walker of Norman; father, Jeff (Raquel) Turner of Bedford, sister, Barbie Roberts; nephew Drew Roberts and niece Anna Roberts; step brother Brant Ray of Indianapolis; grandparents, Ray (Terry) Benjamin of California, Nancy Rollins of Bedford, and Michael (Janice) Cain, also of Bedford.  She of course also has a few aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss her terribly.

 

Darra was preceded in death by her sister, Heather Marie Turner; her grandparents, Wendell and Marian Turner; and aunt, Candace.


Funeral services for Darra Nicole Jones will be Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11:00am at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Dirus Dustin officiating. Burial will follow at Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Visitation will be held Monday, May 1 from 3:00pm-7:00pm and on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of the service at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.

Carol Ann (Rodman) Thrasher

April 4, 1944 – April 26, 2023


Bedford – Carol Ann (Rodman) Thrasher, 79, of Bedford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.


Born April 4, 1944, in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of Robert and Emma (Jacobs) Rodman. She married Marvin D. Thrasher on February 1, 1962, and he preceded her in death on November 1, 2021. Carol devoted her life to raising her girls. She was happiest when making others happy. She loved attending musicals, traveling, and reading, but most of all, spending time with her great-grandsons, who will miss her greatly.


Survivors include her daughters, Paula (Ritchie) Tirey, of Bedford and Sarah Thrasher, of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Jencie (Casey) Brown, of Ellettsville and their sons, Lincoln and Callen; a step-grandson, Bryan (Stephanie) Barrett, of Valley Green, AL and their children, Skylar, Austin, Alexander, and Ashton; her brothers, James Rodman and Carl (Diana) Rodman, all of Louisville, KY; a son-in-law, David Barrett, of Fayetteville, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughters, Tammy D. Barrett and Tina M. Thrasher (in infancy); a sister, Betty Cascone; brothers, Robert, David, and Edward.


Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 29th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Rhonda Adams Goins

Rhonda Adams Goins (better known as “Audrey’s Mom”) died Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, at IU Hospital, Bedford, Indiana after a courageous battle with breast cancer. 


Born February 15, 1958, in Norton, Virginia, Rhonda was the daughter of Spencer and Mary (Hughes) Adams who both preceded her in death. She was employed by AT&T as an operator for 20 years and had worked at Superior Kiln and Mill for 21 years.


Rhonda loved a good laugh, was known for pranks, and loved scaring people. She enjoyed traveling, eating good food, reading, and binge-watching reality TV.  She was born to be a grandma. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and gave of her energy and time sacrificially to lighten the load for their parents. To Rhonda, family wasn’t defined by genetics. Her patience, at times, seemed infinite, and she has earned her rest.


She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Goins, son, Anon (Crystal) Goins, grandchildren: Dakota, Micah, Ellison, and Harrison; step-daughter, Amanda Walters, grandchildren: Sanora and Trace; her siblings, Sandra Daugherty, and Gary “Chuck” (Debbie) Adams,  all of Bedford; a sister-in-law, Wendy Adams, of Bedford; her nieces: Elizabeth (Scott) Gaither, Cinnamon (Mark) Adams Stover, and Atalie (Nikiha) Anderson, and nephews: Spencer (Denise)  Adams and David Sexton. She was loved by 11 great nieces & nephews, and 4 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her significant other of 18 years, Gary Evans; a brother, Spencer Bud Adams; a brother-in-law, Dan Daugherty; a sister-in-law, Carla Adams.


A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 30th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Lee Brown officiating. Doris K. Jones

June 24, 1958 – April 23, 2023


Bedford – Doris K. Jones, 64, of Bedford, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 23, 2023.


Born June 24, 1958, she was the daughter of Willie and Violet (Duke) Garland. She retired from the White River Lodge where she had worked in housekeeping for many years. Doris was a kind, beautiful, and loving person. She loved mushroom hunting and listening to music.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Debra Shelby, Mark Harris, Susan Melvin, Danny Garland, Jerry Garland, and Misty Toborg; several great nieces, nephews, and cousins including Sandi Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jeremy James Smith; a sister, Diane Burnie; brother, Roy Garland.

July 14, 1964 – April 24, 2023


Louis Runyon, 58, of Mitchell, IN passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Mitchell Manor Nursing Home in Mitchell. Cremation was chosen with no services. Louis will be buried at The House of Prayer Cemetery in Fayetteville.

Charles W. Ryle

November 6, 1940 – April 20, 2023


Charles W. Ryle, 82, of Bedford, IN passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Garden Villa in Bedford. Cremation was chosen with no services. Charles will be buried at the House of Prayer Cemetery in Fayetteville.

Candi Lynn Miller

MITCHELL – Candi Lynn Miller, 50, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at her residence. Born July 28, 1972, in Bedford, she was the daughter of William Ezra and Lana Darlene (Turpin) Miller. Candi was a 1992 graduate of Mitchell High School and a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church. She worked as a waitress at Mamma’s and Pappa’s. Candi was a member of the Bedford Boat & Sportsmen’s Club. She loved going to the movies, and enjoyed true crime documentaries and horror movies. She loved fall and the Halloween season. Candi’s grandkids were her life. She was a hard worker and loved doing the work. Surviving are her children, Zachary Earl (Megan) Rudolph of Mitchell, Taylor Rayne (Brandon Phelix) Rudolph of Bedford, and Skylar Jaid Rudolph of Mitchell; grandchildren, Gabriel Wood, Ruby Rudolph, Ellie Rudolph, and Isla Rudolph; brother, Larry (Christine) Miller of Mitchell; and parents, William Ezra Miller and Lana Darlene Miller, both of Mitchell. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Mitchell Wesleyan Church with Pastor Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Wilbur Norman Williams

MITCHELL – Wilbur Norman Williams, 77, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital. Born June 28, 1945, in Mitchell, he was the son of William Lee and Ethel Marie (Taylor) Williams. Wilbur was a 1963 graduate of Mitchell High School. He worked as a journeyman welder for Otis Elevator. Wilbur was a member of the Paoli Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed helping people in the community. Wilbur travelled all over the country, attended Silver Sneakers, and enjoyed hanging out at McDonalds. Surviving are his son, Wilbur Brent (Lisa) Williams of Bloomington; grandson, Aaron B. Williams; brother, Bob Williams of Mitchell; and companion, Frances Howard. His parents; son, William K. Williams; and siblings, Harold Lee Williams, William Lee “Willie” Williams, Kay Lindsey, and Patty Johnson, preceded him in death. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Richard Sallee officiating. Henrietta Ruth Slaten

MITCHELL – Henrietta Ruth Slaten, 80, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at her residence. Born November 25, 1942, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Shirley and Grace (Reynolds) Flora. Ruth married Jerry Eugene Slaten on July 6, 1963 and he preceded her in death June 8, 2009. Ruth was a 1960 graduate of Mitchell High School and a member of the First Christian Church. She was a housekeeper at Spring Mill Inn. Ruth enjoyed going to yard sales and casinos, and she loved Elvis. Surviving are her children, Jeremy (Lori) Slaten of Mitchell and Jerena (Mike) Bowling of Mitchell; grandchildren, Mark Gardner, Jacob Slaten, Lucas Slaten, Alex Slaten, Heather Bowling, Cody Bowling, Kyler Staley, and Kooper Staley; and sister, Genevieve Dalton of Orleans. Her parents; husband; and siblings, Shirley Warren, Franklin Flora, and Norma Henderson, preceded her in death. Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, in Mitchell Cemetery with Chaplain David Hayes officiating. Burial to follow. Carole Ann Stinson

MITCHELL – Carole Ann Stinson, 63, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at home.


Born April 4, 1960, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Norman E. “Lou” and Judith Frances (Kline) Darnell. Carole was a lifelong resident of Mitchell. She married Robert Alan Stinson on August 2, 1981, and he survives.


Carole was a registered nurse with Bedford Regional Medical Center and enjoyed being a nurse. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1978 and received her bachelor degree from Ivy Tech Community College. Carole loved her grandkids and was an avid reader.


Survivors include her husband, Bob Stinson of Mitchell; children, Shelly Jean (Bill) Cooper of Mitchell, Robin Marie (Forrest) Winters of Columbus, Jason Adam (Stephanie) Stinson of Orleans, and Katherine Bell (Josh) Melton of Mitchell; grandchildren, Nicolle, Christopher, Jordan, Elizabeth, Tristan, Isabella, Charlotte, and Callum; great grandchildren, Colton and Hadley; and brothers, David E. (Pamela) Darnell of Pekin and Brian S. (Julie) Darnell of Heltonville


Her parents and son, Robert Alan Stinson, Jr., preceded her in death.


Funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Trent Speer

October 26, 1965 – April 14, 2023


Bloomington – Trent Speer, 57, of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at his residence.


Born October 26, 1965, in Bedford, he was the son of Fred and Jeanne (Stailey) Speer. He was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School with the Class of 1984. He worked for 23 years at Kirby Risk in sales. Trent was an avid sports fan, especially racing, football, and basketball.


Survivors include a sister, Susan George, of Bedford; a niece, Lauren George; a nephew, Adam Glenn and wife, Brianna; a great nephew, Liam Glenn; his beloved cat, Grayson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his companion, Sharon Honey.


Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 27th at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.

Gail Hewitt

1943-2023


Lora “Gail” Hewitt age 80 passed away on Tuesday April 18, 2023 at 3:05 p.m. at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. She was born on April 4, 1943 on Dover Hill in Martin County to Marion and Virginia (Gee) Sipes. Gail married James “Jim” Hewitt on February 1, 1964 in Bedford and he survives. Gail worked in retail and previously at Fit for Life in Bedford she was of Christian faith.


Survivors include her husband, James “Jim” Hewitt of Bedford, two children, Troy Hewitt of Bedford and Christy (Greg) Laturno of Reston, Virginia, four grandchildren, Brannigan Hewitt, Schylar Pritchett, Landon Hewitt and Tessa Laturno, two great grandchildren, Kellen Floyd and Vance Pritchett, four sisters, Margaret Baker of Mitchell, Sue Sipes of Bedford, Wanda Payne of Bedford and Dayle Middleton of Omaha, Nebraska, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Larry Sipes.


Funeral services will be held on Friday April 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, with Brother Tim Day, officiating, burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.

Rita Mae Flack

May 6, 1962 – April 17, 2023


Rita Mae Flack, 60, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at her residence. Born May 6, 1962 in Beech Grove, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ronald Eck and Linda (Brune) Eck. She married Bob Flack on September 3, 1981, and he survives.


Rita was a graduate of Beech Gove High School and Aristotle College. She was of the Catholic faith and was a homemaker.


Surviving to cherish the memory of Rita is her husband, Bob; two daughters, Victoria (Tyler) Allen and Veronica Flack; three grandchildren, Axel Allen, Luna Allen and Rose Allen; three siblings, Tonya Mitchell, Janice Burch and Scott (Lori) Eck. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lisa Overbey.


Funeral services for Rita Mae Flack will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Deacon Dave Reising and Father Jegan Peter officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel from 11:00am until the time of the service on Monday.

Vicky Ann Simmerman

June 11, 1957-April 16, 2023


Vicky Ann Simmerman, 65, of Mitchell, died in Indianapolis surrounded by family after a life-long battle with Marfan’s Syndrome.


She was born in Bedford, IN to Maurice and Ann E. Smith on June 11, 1957. On August 4, 1985, she married Roe Gene Simmerman, and he survives.


Vicky began her career at Bedford Regional Medical Center in 1978 and enjoyed being a part of the BRMC/IU Health family for 45 years until her death. She held various positions throughout the years in Bedford, but spent many of those years registering patients in the south suite of the building. She currently held a position in the Mitchell IU Health office. She was a member of the Orleans church of Christ.


Surviving with her husband, are one daughter, Carrie (Austin) Guyer of Danville, IN, one son, Derek (Kristen Schafer) Simmerman of Avoca, mother Ann E. Smith, brother Gary (Harvetta) Smith, as well as four grandchildren she loved and spoiled endlessly - JD, Allison, Olivia, and Luke Guyer.


She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Smith.


Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 20th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, April 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Dorothy J. Riggs

July 27, 1921 - April 18, 2023


Dorothy J. Riggs, 101, of Bedford, passed away on April 18, 2023 at the Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford. Born July 27, 1921, she was the daughter of Fred Wampler and Florence (Gilbreth) Wampler. She married Roy Riggs, Jr. on December 27, 1941, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 1998.


Dorothy was a graduate of Bedford High School with the class of 1938. She had worked at Bell’s Mend-It-Shop and in the Golf Pro Shop at Otis Park Golf Course and at the Pro Shops in Bad Axe, Michigan and Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was a life-time member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.


Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Pat (Roger) Scott; three grandsons, Brian Scott, Zach Medlock and J.D. (Traci) Medlock; three great grandchildren, Jasmine (Justin) Perry, Dalton Valencia and Teddy Medlock; two great-great grandchildren, Braxton Perry and Caroline Perry.


Dorothy was preceded in death by one daughter, Robin Medlock; one granddaughter, Julie Scott; three brothers, Fred Wampler, Jr., Louis Wampler and Jim Wampler.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 with burial to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am also on Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

BEDFORD – Daniel Eugene Bush, 54, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at University of Louisville Hospital. Born May 27, 1968, in Mitchell, he was the son of Elmer Floyd Bush and Rita Joreen (Porter) Nash. Dan was a 1986 graduate of Mitchell High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 250. He loved woodworking, fishing, and fried chicken. Dan worked as the Maintenance Supervisor for Lawrence County, but he was so much more than that. If you saw the star lit up at the square – Dan did that. If you marveled at the flag waving at the courthouse – Dan did that. If you ever needed a smile – Dan did that too. He will live on through his children, grandson, friends, and the community through his passions and projects. Surviving are his children, Kylee Daniele (Peter) Boyll of Indianapolis, Tyson Andrew Terry of Mitchell, and Lynley Michele Bush of Bloomington; grandson, Asa Terry; siblings, David Ferrel of Alexandria, Dana (Kent) White of Bedford, Joseph Bush of Bedford, Stephen Bush of Mitchell, and Chris (Jennifer) Bush of Mitchell; and mother, Rita Joreen Nash of Mitchell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. His father preceded him in death. Joe Dean Branaman

September 5, 1945 – April 15, 2023


Joe Dean Branaman, 77, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Indiana University Health Indianapolis. Born September 5, 1945, he was the son of Marvin and Rose Branaman. He married the love of his life, Margaret Spurgeon at Bedford First Church of God on January 14, 1967. They met on a blind date set up by Joe’s Airforce Sargent and Margaret’s boss at C.P. Electronics.


Joe graduated from the Bedford High School and was in the Airforce Reserves. He worked in his brother Gene’s body shop on the side. Joe was also a painter retired from General Motors after 30 years. He attended Bedford First Church of God all of his life. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, working on projects, walking in state parks, traveling to national parks and golfing. He also attended his grandchildren’s many special events and concerts. Joe was an encourager who always reached out and helped friends and neighbors.


Surviving Joe is his wife, Margaret; his daughter, Melissa (Alex) Anton of Illinois; his son, Todd Branaman of Bedford, IN; grandchildren, Nathan Anton, Kiersten Anton and Grace Anton; and his brother, Ronnie (Susan) Branaman.


Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donnie Branaman; brother Gene Branaman; and sister-in-law, Patti Branaman.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Bedford First Church of God. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford.

Bedford – Linda Sue (Morris) White, 76, of Bedford, passed away at 5:20 am on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the Hospice House in Bloomington.


Born March 25, 1947, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Leroy and Christina (Prewitt) Morris. She was married to Jerry White who preceded her in death. She retired as an office manager for E & M Machine and Tool and was a member of the Free Methodist Church.


Survivors include her son, Jeremiah Anderson and wife, Misti, and a grandson, Layton Anderson, and a granddaughter, Paige Anderson, all of Spencer, IN; brothers, David Morris and wife, Gina, and Allen Morris, all of Bedford; sisters, Judy Cunnington, of Bedford and Donna Dodds and husband, Randal, of Heltonville; several nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Thomas “T.J.” Fox

ORLEANS – Thomas “T.J.” Fox, 41, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his residence.


Born June 11, 1981, in Clearwater, Florida, he was the son of Thomas E. and Deborah Ann (Staniszeski) Fox.


Thomas had worked as an automotive computer tech. His great passion in life was “tuning” his cars.

Terry L. Waggoner

Terry L. Waggoner age 63 of Bedford passed away on Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 7:25 a.m. at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.


He was born on June 22, 1959 in Bedford to Carl and Shirley (Parker) Waggoner.


Terry married Shawn McDermed on October 24, 1978 in Fayetteville and she survives.


Terry worked as a Sawyer at B.G. Hoadley Limestone in Bloomington; he served as a Paramedic for 25 years at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford. He was a graduate of BNL High School and of the Christian faith.


Survivors include his wife, Shawn Waggoner of Bedford, three sons, Andrew (Kelsey) Waggoner of Seymour, Evett (Sara) Waggoner of Bedford, and Aaron (Sheena) Waggoner of Bedford, one sister, Carla Payton of Springville and one brother, Chris (Jamie) Waggoner of Springville, six grandchildren, Terry Waggoner, McKenzie Waggoner, Kaiden Waggoner, Kyson Waggoner, Keaton Waggoner, and Corbin Waggoner, five step-grandchildren, Libby, Easton, Kasen, Lilah and Juan Sanchez.


He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Terra Waggoner in infancy, one granddaughter, Tatlin Allen.

Steven Taylor

Steven Taylor age 73 of Bedford passed away on April 7, 2023 at 6:11 p.m. at his residence. He was born in Chandler, Indiana on May 2, 1949 to Jesse Case and Ann Case Taylor. Steven retired from Visteon in Bedford.


He is survived by his caregiver, Carrie Smith of Bedford.


Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Case and Ann Case Taylor, two brothers, Walt Case and Frank Taylor, one niece, Jessica Case.

Janet was born on December 6, 1963, in Albion, MI to her parents, Don and Mabeline Hurley.


Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard James; a sister, Sandy Hurley, of eastern Kentucky; a brother, Donald Hurley, of Elkhart, IN and her parents.


Janet is survived by three daughters, Brandy Bowen, of Elkhart, Angel Bowen, of Oolitic, and Amanda James, of Colorado Springs, CO; a son, Chance James, of Norman, IN; six grandchildren, Bridget Kehr, Quintin Kehr, Sadie Kehr, Zaidyn Phipps, Zya Reaves, and KyeLeon James; a sister, Hope Hurley, of Dayton, OH; brothers, Franklin Hurley, of Dayton, OH and Anthony Hurley, of Key Largo, FL; several nieces and nephews.


Janet lived most of her life in Elkhart, IN and moved to Bedford, IN in 2011. She worked as a seamstress before falling too sick to work. She was very loved by everyone that knew her. She was the most caring person we knew and was always a listening ear and an open door.

Oolitic – Barbara Jean (Flynn) Lake, 83, of Oolitic, passed away at 1:10 am on Monday, April 10, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.


Born December 27, 1939, in Mitchell, IN, she was the daughter of Fred R. Flynn, Sr. and Margaret (Hollars) Flynn. She married Robert E. Lake in 1979 and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2011. She was a line-worker at RCA and a member of the Oolitic Trinity Pentecostal Church.


Survivors include her children, Mary Jo Schmidt and Gary, of Canton, GA, Peggy Mitchell and Bob, of Bedford, Faron Lake and Kris, of Bloomington, Penny Duncan, of Foley, AL, Bobby Lake, of Indianapolis; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Phil Flynn and Darcy, of Harrodsburg and Russ Flynn and Jennie, of Bedford; seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Phillip Shayne Flynn.

Bloomington - Jean L. Warner, 79, of Bloomington, passed away at 8:15 pm on Friday, April 7, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.


Born October 21, 1943, in Malone, NY, she was the daughter of Harry and Blanche Beach and one of ten children. She married Allen Warner in 1962 and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last September. Jean was a loving homemaker and thoroughly enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her family. She served others and was an active volunteer at her church. Jean loved the Lord and shared about Jesus to everyone she knew.


Survivors include her husband Allen Warner, three sons Glen (Shawna), Scott (Linlin), and Neil (Michelle); seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexander, Alexandria, Wyatt, Garrett, Abby, and Zachary; three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Clarabelle, and Addelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.

BEDFORD – Joyce Ann King, 73, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital. Born June 6, 1949, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Elmer and Livie Alice (Whalin) Nash. Joyce enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, thrifting, landscaping, and loved her koi fish. She was a fun loving jokester and had a strong Christian faith. Joyce loved babysitting her grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Donald Lee (J.J.) Goldsberry of Mitchell and Angela Marie (Tim) Vaal of St. Meinard; grandchildren, Chelsea Johnson, Mason Summers, Caitlin Nicely, Hannah Courtright, and Caedon Goldsberry; and three great grandchildren. Her parents; daughter, Paula Renay Canfield; and siblings, Delbert Nash, Roger Nash, Jerry Nash, Floyd Nash, Lorraine Clifton, Dorothy Clem, Gladys Fulton, and Norma Marcum, preceded her in death. Bedford – Doyle W. Hudson, 75, of Bedford, passed away at 8:30 pm on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Hospice House in Bloomington.


Born January 18, 1948, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Marshall D. Hudson and Margie May (Caswell) Redmon. He married Linda Karnes on September 23, 1972, and she survives. He was a heavy equipment operator for H & H Contracting, working out of the Operators Union Local #181 and was an owner/operator. He enjoyed gardening, riding his motorcycle and in his younger years, he raced motorcycles at the Bedford Boat & Sportsmans’ Club


Survivors include his wife, Linda, of Bedford; a son, Derrick Adrian Hudson of Bedford; three brothers, Dannie L. Hudson and wife, Denise, of Bloomington, Kenneth R. Hudson and wife, Judy, of Springville, and Stewart H. Hudson and wife, Shelia, of Ft. Ritner; a half-sister, Janet L. Campbell, of Spencer; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, George E. Redmon and a half-sister, Cynthia M Redmon.

Dorothy Bauer, 82, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 8, 2023, surrounded by her daughters. Dorothy was born April 1, 1941, in Norman, IN to parents Samuel and Florence Todd.


Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Richard Bauer and survived by her daughters Kimberly Bauer (husband Eric Hatfield), Teresa Bauer Staggs (husband Greg Staggs) and Christina Sullivan (husband Matt Sullivan), all of Indianapolis; brother Richard Todd, deceased (wife Verla) Norman, IN, Fred Todd (wife Jane) of Plainfield, IN; sister Wilma Spencer (husband Tom, deceased) of Columbus IN, eight grandchildren Randy Pruett (deceased), Richard Pruett, Samuel Pruett, Dustin Staggs, Jacob Hatfield, Joshua Hatfield, Elijah Hatfield and Jonah Sullivan and several nieces and nephews.


She was a graduate of Indiana Business College and worked at RCA before becoming a full-time wife and mother. She obtained a real estate license in 1979. Dorothy and Dick started Bauer Property Management and D&D Rentals, which they operated in Bedford for many, years. She was a Girl Scout Leader. Dorothy was baptized at Mundell Christian Church and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Bedford.


Above all else, Dorothy’s greatest love in life was her husband and three daughters.

Margaret Rose Weber


Margaret Rose Weber age 69 of French Lick passed away on Sunday April 9, 2023 at 11:35 a.m. at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick.


She was born July 14, 1952 in Lawrence County, the daughter of former Judge Lyle Root and Sally (East) Root. She married Dave Weber. She was a very honest, friendly, and hard working and to the point person. She is going to be deeply missed.


She grew up around her Grandma Thelma who was from the mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee. Margaret would always have theses sayings that she learned from Grandma Thelma. For example, sayings like dog gone it, by cracky that looks like a snake in the grass and many more during her life time. Margaret was a sweet, feisty, and spunky Irish red headed woman. She was a lot of fun to be around. Her favorite hobby was crocheting. She attended Mitchell High School. She had a variety of jobs in her life time, but her real love was owning her own business as a dog breeder and broker. She knew everything about dogs and breeds. Her favorite dog was Husky, she could train any dog that was her true talent. Surviving are two uncles, Carl East and Terry East, two aunts, Opal Lee Beltran and Ruby East, several cousins.

Leesville – Danny Brown, 73, of Leesville, passed away at 7:47 pm on Saturday, April 8, 2023.


Born August 20, 1949, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Luther H. and Ruby (Flinn) Brown. He had been a carpenter for Bid-Low Construction and was of the Christian Faith.


Survivors include a sister, Connie Scott and husband, Joe, of Heltonville; two brothers, Jerry Brown and wife, Cathy, and Terry Brown and wife, Sylvia, all of Leesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Oleta McCart and Loretta “Sis” Garriott; two brothers, Frank and Donnie Brown.

George Adams

October 16, 1943 – April 6, 2023


Bedford - George Richard Adams, 79, passed away on April 6, 2023 at his home.


Born October 16, 1943 in Bedford, he was the son of Paul and Olga (Peyton) Adams. He married Patricia Givens Shaver on June 27, 1975 and she survives.


A life-long member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, he graduated from Bedford High School in 1962, served in the Indiana National Guard, was a member of the American Legion Gillen Post 33, and retired in 2001 from General Motors with 38 years of service.


In addition to his wife, Pat Adams, he is survived by their son, Steve Adams and his husband David Sipes; grandchildren Alex Adams and his wife Tori, Avery Adams, Emily Sipes and her daughter Emma, and Alli Braitling and her husband Robby; sister-in-law Joanne Adams; nieces Kim Adams and Carol Lewis and her husband Hillard. He was preceded in death by his brother Paul Michael Adams and their parents.


A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 15 at 1:00 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Bedford with Father Jegan Peter officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 11:30 am until the start of the Rosary at 12:30 pm. MITCHELL – Jack D. Leatherman, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital. Born April 5, 1949, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Carl and Lucille (Hopkins) Leatherman. He married Sandra Jane Russell in 2001 and she survives. Jack worked as an orchard caretaker for Applacres for many years. He enjoyed fishing and being with his horses. Jack loved animals; especially his dog, Mickey. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Jane Leatherman of Mitchell; children, Jackie Leatherman of Mitchell; siblings, Jerry Leatherman of Tunnelton, Tony Leatherman of Mitchell, Jerold Leatherman of Mitchell, Donald Leatherman of Williams, Danny Leatherman of Tunnelton, Terry Leatherman of Tunnelton, Vickie Pridemore of Mitchell, and Sheila Garrison of Mitchell; and several grandchildren. MITCHELL – Faye Irene Bell, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital. Born March 5, 1933, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Floyd Isom and Iva Mae (Owens) Allen. Faye married Kenneth L. Bell on January 31, 1953 and he preceded her in death May 7, 2020. Faye was a 1952 graduate of Paoli High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church. Faye liked to play Bingo, was a good seamstress, enjoyed arts and crafts, and loved shopping for clothes. Surviving are her grandchildren, Tessa (Cory) Mikels of Bedford and Daniel (Jennifer) Bell of Bedford; great-grandchildren, D.J. (Emily) Randolph, Mason Gaines, Kendal Spires, Jayce Mikels, and Kyler Mikels; great-great-grandchildren, Zeke and Ky; brother-in-law, Larry (Roseanne) Bell of Mitchell; and sister-in-law, Emma James of Orleans. Anita Jane (Hewitt) Adams

BEDFORD – Anita Jane (Hewitt) Adams, 86, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born December 3, 1936, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Lewis Edward and Rosemond (Comstock) Hewitt. She married Emerson “Dale” Adams in 1990 and he preceded her in death.

Anita had worked as a waitress for many years at Hinkle’s Hamburgers in Bloomington, getting to know many of the local customers. She made such an impact on her favorite Hinkle’s customers that she continued to visit long after retirement. Anita had also been employed as a cashier for the Louden’s Supermarket and Thrifty Mart in Bloomington. She loved country music, playing cards, and greatly enjoyed family reunion picnics. She was of the Christian faith and a Methodist.

Survivors include her brothers, Ralph (Karen) Hewitt of Bedford, and Lewis (Judy) Hewitt of Kurtz.

Her father; mother and siblings, Clara Hewitt, John Hewitt, Gertrude Arthur, Edward Hewitt, Jack Hewitt, and George Hewitt preceded her in death.

Thomas W. Vance

Thomas W. Vance, AKA Fritz, 83 of Bedford passed away on Sunday April 2, 2023 at 8:14 p.m. at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born on October 6, 1939 to Norval and Martha (Gross) Vance in Norwood, Ohio.


He is survived by two children, Jeff (Lisa) Vance and Cindy Vance both of Bedford. One grandson, Jared (Abby) Vance and two great grandchildren, Grayson Vance and Vera Vance.


Tom owned and operated V & M Floor Covering for over 40 years and for a 10-year period was owner of Hoover’s Candy. He was a veteran of the US Army and member of the North Vernon Masonic Lodge.

His last hour was spent, watching ME-TV, eating vanilla ice cream, and talking on the phone to his bestie, Kenny Dalton plotting his escape from the hospital. It was the perfect ending to his life this side.

Virginia M.” Ginger” Jones

April 13, 1949 – April 5, 2023


Mitchell – Virginia M.” Ginger” Jones, 73, of Mitchell, passed away at 12:15 am on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at her residence.


Born April 13, 1949, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of James A. and Hazel (Turpin) Robbins. She married Jessie Jones in 1967 and he preceded her in death. She was a cashier at McDonald’s restaurant.


Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Burton; two grandchildren, Dennis Potter and John L. Potter, II and wife, Savannah, all of Mitchell; six great-grandchildren, Thiodore Potter, Declan Potter, Alexis Potter, Miley Potter, Jensen Potter, and Charlle Potter; a brother, James Robbins and wife, Cheryl; eight nieces and nephews, Richie Schofield, Bobby Schofield, Tom Schofield, Kathy Schofield, Jimmy Robbins, Jason Robbins, Chad Robbins and Ashley Simmon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; great-grandson, Johnny Potter; a sister, Katherine Schofield; a nephew, Jimmie Schofield.


Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Tom Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Bruce M. “Mike” Brower

Bruce M. “Mike” Brower age 75 of rural Bedford passed away on Monday April 3, 2023 at 1:50 p.m. He was born December 31, 1947 in Lebanon and grew up in Brownsburg and the west side of Indianapolis, graduating from Speedway High School in 1966. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving aboard the U.S.S. Valley Forge LPH8 and Assault Craft Unit One. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and a retired UPS delivery driver, having served northeastern Lawrence County and the Chapel Hill area nearly 20 years.


Mike is survived by his longtime companion, Teresa Blackburn of Springville, his son, Toby Brower and wife Jennifer, three beautiful granddaughters, Madeline, Kate, and Lauren, all of Indianapolis, sisters, Sharleene Moore of Kouts, Kathleen Hamawi of Indianapolis, Donna Wadleigh of Speedway, Peggy Forrester of Billings, Montana, brother, Kevin Brower and wife Sandra of Springfield, Missouri, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Donald Trager, his father and stepmother, Bruce and Nettie Brower, sister, Nancy Anne McCoy-Halbert, great nephew, Wade Christian Rogg.


Mike requested to be cremated with no funeral services, a celebration of his life will be on April 16, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Bedford American Legion Post #33, Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.



Norma Sue Doty

September 6, 1941 – April 4, 2023


Bedford – Norma Sue Doty, 81, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Garden Villa.


Born September 6, 1941, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Cecil W. and Ruby (Rainey) Jones. She married Dale Doty on November 23, 1962 and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2000. She retired after ten years as the Assistant Activities Director at the Hospitality House in Bedford. She was a member of the Grace Full Gospel Church. She loved singing and playing the guitar, performing around the tri-county area.


Survivors include a daughter, Beth Johnson and husband, Wesley, of Mitchell; a son, Brian Doty and husband, Ronald, of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Kristen and Courtney Hayes, Eric and Devin Johnson, Joshua and Haley Doty; ten great-grandchildren, Jackson Hayes, Camdon and Justice Doty, Keaira, Johnny, Colton, Liam, and Laylee Johnson, Mattie and Oliver Perry, and her best friend of 67 years, Wilma Godsey. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Lesa Hayes; seven brothers, Vaughn, Robert, Lester and Luther Pierce, Harold Lowell, and Vurtis Jones; three sisters, Jane Embach, Alice Green and Katherine Ray.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Fayetteville Community Cemetery. Rachel Levere Merry

ORLEANS – Rachel Levere Merry, 46, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, at IU Health Bedford Hospital. Born October 21, 1976, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Ricky Merry and Lynnette Fleetwood. Rachel attended Grace Tabernacle Apostolic Church and loved being with her family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, antiques, and remodeling her home with her mother. Surviving are her children, Jyson Way Garland of Springville, Rayden Grace Duncan of Orleans, and Frankie Lavena Jean Duncan of Orleans; siblings, Rickie (Marcia) Merry, Jr. of Orleans, Destiny Gayle Southworth of Oolitic, Elisha Yvonne (Jason) Bendett of Mitchell; mother, Lynette Gayle Fleetwood of Orleans; maternal grandparents, Rachel and Kenny Allen of Orleans and Otto and Nancy Fleetwood of Bedford; paternal grandmother, Mildred Henderson of Mitchell. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her father and paternal grandfather, Frank Merry, preceded her in death. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Daniel Jones of Grace Tabernacle officiating. Maria Mercedes Van der Kleij

MITCHELL – Maria Mercedes Van der Kleij, 66, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, at her residence. Born November 17, 1956, in Barcelona, Spain, she was the daughter of Cristóbal and Roser Marí (Miralles) Quilis Vaquer. Maria married Robert Van der Kleij on May 31, 1976 and he survives. Maria worked in shops in Spain and retired from Indiana University as a cook. Maria’s greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, crafting, gardening, and traveling. Maria was passionate and fiery; she lived life to the fullest and was not afraid to take chances. Surviving are her husband, Robert Van der Kleij of Mitchell; children, David Van der Kleij of Mitchell, Mark Van der Kleij of Morton, Illinois, Desiree (Jay) Van der Kleij of Springville, and Rosana (Brant) Smith of Greenwood; grandchildren, Claire, Finn, Juliet, and Vivian; and siblings, Gloria and Margarida of Barcelona, Spain. Winifer Joann Moore

Winifer Joann Moore age 73 of Bedford passed away on Saturday April 1, 2023 at 6:15 a.m. at Westview Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Bedford. She was born on June 17, 1949 in Vincennes to Lyman Morris and Mary (Harper) Morris. She had worked as a Vet Tech in Bloomington.


Survivors include on daughter, Carrie (Chris) Stevens of Ellettsville, two sisters, Elaine Hatton of Mitchell, and Patty Burton of Washington, one brother, Lyman Morris, Jr. of Vincennes, three grandchildren, Heather (Alen Smith) Stevens, Sue Stevens and Jin Stevens, three great grandchildren, Justice, Dallas and Austin.


She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ronnie Morris, one sister, Linda Morris, one granddaughter, Chelsea Grace Lynn.


Cremation was chosen, Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.



Lorena “Kay” Norris

February 19, 1942 – March 30, 2023


Lorena "Kay" Norris, 81, of Mooresville IN, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023, at St Francis Hospital in Greenwood.  Kay was born in Bedford, IN on February 19, 1942, to Robert E. and Dorothy L. Woods (Louden).  Kay attended Bedford High School.


Kay was a stay at home mom who loved raising her 3 children.  She was very involved with all of their school functions and extra curricular activities, attending as many as she possibly could.  Once her children were grown she began working outside the home at AFNB bank in Indianapolis until she was hired at Citizens Bank in Mooresville. Kay had a very enjoyable and fulfilling career at Citizens Bank for over 30 years before retiring as Senior Bank Teller at the main branch in Mooresville.  It seemed she knew everyone in town and everyone knew her.


Kay was always happiest around her family.  Whether she was just watching television, playing cards, sous chef-ing with her son Clint, or having birthday gatherings with the extended family, anything as long as her family was around.  Kay was the most loving person and would do anything for those she loved.  Kay also enjoyed playing euchre with her card club friends.


Surviving to cherish the memory of Kay is one son, Clint Norris of Mooresville IN; one daughter, Amy Norris of Mooresville IN; two  grandsons, Shane and Christopher Norris of Concord, NC; daughter-in-law Cindy Norris (Jeff) of Concord, NC; sister Patricia Guthrie (Arthur) of Bedford IN; niece Mary Burton of Bedford, IN, nephew Paul Urban of Whittier,CA, niece Mary Urban of Indianapolis, IN, niece Debbie Stapp of Speedway, IN, niece Lisa of Valparaiso, IN, and nephew Danny of Brownsburg, IN.


Kay is preceded in death by her parents, son Jeff Norris, and nephew Bryan Guthrie.


Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Paul Guthrie officiating.  Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday also at Ferguson-Lee.
