Bedford, IN – November 11, 2024 – Indiana State Treasurer Daniel Elliott commemorated Veterans Day with a visit to American Legion Gillen Post 33 in Bedford, Indiana, where he joined local veterans and community members to honor those who have served our country. Treasurer Elliott participated in a meaningful flag presentation to Post Commander Kevin Masterson, symbolizing his appreciation for the service and sacrifices of the veterans of Bedford and across Indiana.
During the event, Treasurer Elliott had the opportunity to engage with veterans, listening to their stories and experiences. These served as poignant reminders of the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms we hold dear. “Hearing these firsthand accounts of courage and resilience was both humbling and inspiring. These men and women have given so much for our country, and it’s an honor to be here with them today,” said Treasurer Elliott.
The ceremony featured a solemn seven-gun salute, paying tribute to the courage and dedication of America’s veterans. Treasurer Elliott described the moment as a powerful and moving experience, further underscoring the importance of acknowledging and supporting the needs of veterans across Indiana.
“Veterans Day is a time to recognize the sacrifices of those who served, but it’s also a reminder that we must continue supporting them throughout their lives. I am grateful for the veterans in Bedford and around Indiana, and it’s an honor to serve them as their Treasurer,” Elliott added.
