BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University Memorial Union Board is excited to announce A Conversation with Coach Cignetti as a continuation of the annual Cignetti lecture series on February 17 at 6 p.m. This event is open to IU Bloomington students only and admission is free (limit of 1 ticket per student) with general admission seating. A valid University Student ID is required for entry into the event alongside a ticket.
Coach Cignetti, the head football coach at Indiana University, recently led IU to its first national championship, completely turning the program around and establishing a new standard for success in Bloomington. Historically known as the most losingest program in college football history, IU is now the team to beat, and Cignetti’s unique coaching style and emphasis on discipline and culture are responsible for this turnaround.
Previously, Cignetti has had head coaching roles at James Madison University, Indiana University Pennsylvania, and Elon University. Notoriously known for his success in turning struggling football teams into high-caliber programs, he transformed JMU and led the Dukes to three consecutive playoff appearances and a 52-9 record overall. Cignetti is a five-time conference coach of the year and a two-time national coach of the year. He has earned national recognition for his work in his first 2 years at Indiana University with a 27-2 record.
