AT&T to Provide 100 Laptops to Organizations that Assist Lawrence County Families to Help Close the Digital Divide

BEDFORD – At an event Monday, AT&T* will announce the donation of 100 refurbished laptops to pre-selected organizations that assist Lawrence County families and provide an update on its projects to build AT&T Fiber in the county. 

 

AT&T and Human-I-T are providing 100 laptops to the Lawrence County Economic Growth Council to distribute to organizations that assist local families in need. The computers, funded by an AT&T contribution, will be made available to recipients as needed.

 

AT&T will also announce that construction has begun on one of four projects to build AT&T Fiber in Lawrence County. AT&T has been awarded three broadband contracts by Lawrence County and one Next Level Connections grant from the State of Indiana. These four projects totaling more than $12 million will bring AT&T Fiber to nearly 5,000 homes and businesses in portions of Lawrence County over the next two years, helping close the digital divide in the community.
