Nikirk, 97, of Oolitic, passed away at 12:45 am on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Redcrest Hospice House in Bloomington. Born June 10, 1928, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of John and Lela (Harvey) Nikirk. He married Jeanette Cassidy in 1953, and she preceded him in death on October 3, 2020. He was a truck driver with Jefferson Trucking and had worked at RCA and for several local businesses a
