Orleans Chamber September E-News

Hello!

The Weather has turned off more Fall like these last few days. Who is ready for cooler days, crisp nights, falling leaves, apple cider and Pumpkin Spice everywhere?

Speaking of Fall mark your calendars for October 14th and our annual Orleans Fall Fun Fest in the Park. We are again planning a fun-filled day of fall family type activities on this Saturday in the historic town square. Plans include a 5K run, a new fun Pet Event, children's activities, corn hole tourney, car show, live entertainment, food & more. We would again invite any of our chamber members and/or interested local groups, civic, churches etc. to participate by setting up a booth in the park that day or sponsoring an event or activity on that Saturday. Contact the Chamber Office for more details on being a part of this year’s event.

We are encouraging everyone to help us officially usher in Autumn by dressing up your storefronts, display windows, landscaped areas with fall décor i.e. mums, straw, pumpkins, scarecrows etc.

Our September Chamber Board “Breakfast Chat” will be this Thursday, September 14th 8 a.m. at the Orleans Town Hall. Our last one for 2023 will be November 9th.

Ladies for Liberty

There will be a FREE Concert in the Park this coming Friday the 15th with Ladies for Liberty. The special downtown concert begins at 6:30 p.m. on Bicentennial Stage. Those attending are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.

We are still looking for a few more teams to sign up and participate in the 2023 Annual Orleans Chamber Golf Scramble on September 23rd at Green Acres in Paoli. See flyer attached. Our Golf Scramble was held for many years and served as a way for our local businesses, organizations and employees to come together in the spirit of friendly competition for a fun-filled day that encourages, promotes and delivers team building, camaraderie and networking. Please consider getting a team together. Will Busick of Hoosier Hills Insurance has agreed to serve as the event chair.

We are still actively looking for business members willing to host a Business After Hours event in 2022. Business After Hours is a great networking event. The host each month gets great exposure for their business by opening their doors and welcoming people to see their business and meet their staff. Hosting a Business After Hours is a great way to promote your business. Becoming a host is easy, just let the Chamber know that you would like to have this opportunity and what month you are interested in hosting. If you are interested in hosting a Business After Hours, please contact the Chamber Office at 812-865-9930 or email historicorleans@gmail.com
