Early Voting begins at Courthouse

Voters who want to vote early can cast ballots  in the Lawrence County Courthouse.

You can cast  ballots in person at the Voter Registration Office in Room 20. Both the north and south entrances to the courthouse will be open.  Voters must present a government-issued photo ID before a ballot will be issued. A driver’s license, state ID or federal ID can be used.

Weekday early voting is available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until November 2.

The office will be closed for one hour for lunch, but lunch times might slightly vary due to the amount of people in line at the normal lunch time of 11:30 a.m. All voters in line at 11:30 a.m. will vote before the office closes for lunch.

Early voting on Saturdays is being offered from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 and Nov. 3.

For more information, call the voter registration office in the Lawrence County Courthouse at 277-2036.
