This is for anyone that was referred (but not hired) for the "Explosives Handler" job at Crane. This job was posted in July 2007. And ended in November 2007 when they opened a new announcement. With people still on the list from the first one.

I have the list, for the first announcement, and there were 45 people who were disgarded off it. And since there is a brand new announcement(as of April 1st) there are quite a few more who were disgarded off the second list now.

A couple of weeks ago I contacted Congressman Steve Buyer about how they were handling the hiring for these positions. Today I was called by Crane and offered a job. So I suggest anyone still interested in the position contact Congressman Steve Buyer about it. He WILL help you.

Wow. Good Job. How did you find out about the lists? Just curious.

I've not applied and don't intend to, but I always suspected something was up with that job since it's been posted so much.

The main way is to file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Warning - it will be hard to get unless you were on the list yourself. If you weren't you have to go through a process that proves it's in the public interest, for that information to be released. Something that would probably be hard to prove.

No identifying information will be released. The lists I got only had first names of everyone on it, their scores, and their status (veteran, non-veteran, etc.) And of course if they were hired or not.
