Kinda wondering why they canceled the schooling for 118 laid off people from Bloom Marketing?

If Bloom wasn't in a position financially to help offer these classes (was a joint agreement with Workforce Development). Then why bother? It's nice when companies try to offer help to employees they are laying off. But to offer it, then have people sign up for it. Then pull the plug. Well might as well not offered it at all.

Personally I'd like to see Ivy Tech reach out and help these people. I've not seen them do much for the people laid off in the community locally. Except reap the rewards of higher enrollment.

I know when I was laid off from GE several years ago. I attended Ivy Tech. And even though it was paid for by NAFTA (TRA). I looked at the billing for books. And it was full price. I can imagine the billing for everything else was full price as well.
