| The Old Jail Art Center presents "Ross Thackery's Adventures in Hot Glass", an exhibition of glass artistry by Monroe County artist Ross Thackery. The exhibition begins with an opening reception on Friday, July 31, 2009, from 5-7 p.m. It continues on Saturday, August 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday, August 3-5, from 3-7 p.m. The Old Jail Art Center is in the former Lawrence County Jail at 1002 17th Street (J Street entrance) in Bedford.
