More than music and dance, this evening will be an authentic cultural experience you just can’t miss! Starting with a one-hour concert/show, the Tangamente ensemble will play a gorgeous selection of the tango repertory, interpreted by the world-renowned tenor Carlos Montané, and by Yuriria Rodríguez. This will be a rare opportunity for audiences to see and hear a bandoneón – the tango instrument per excellence.

The Bloomington Argentine Tango Organization (BATO) will dance to the evening’s music, and show the public what real tango dance is all about. Following the intermission, the evening will feature a Milonga, in other words, a dance event for the audience. Tangamente will play live for those who dance or would like to be introduced to this unique dance. Instructors and advanced dancers from BATO will be on the dance floor helping first-timers with the basic steps. A Night of Tango, and its cathartic essence, will restore our souls and be a night to remember!
