Barbecued Meat Balls

An easy fix-ahead dish that is sure to become a favorite
2 lbs. extra lean ground beef
¼ tsp black pepper
1 C corn flake crumbs
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ C chopped parsley
1/3 C catsup
2 eggs
2 T instant minced onion

Combine the above ingredients and mix well. Shape into balls 1 ½ inches in diameter and place in a baking pan. (I like to line the baking pan first with foil.)
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
2 T brown sugar
1 (12 oz) bottle chili sauce
2 T lemon juice

Cook the above ingredients until hot, stirring until smooth. Pour over the meat balls. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven.

These meatballs are also delicious served as a party appetizer. Simply shape them into smaller balls and reduce the baking time slightly.
